And I see that the Queen + Duke of Cambridge are meeting members of the emergency services, as well as local residents and community representatives.

Corbyn met the victims. Sadiq Khan met the victims. The Queen has met the victims. But the PM sent Andrea Leadsom instead? Just unreal ......

It's welcome - but it seems that dumping 2 advisors hasn't cured the omnishambles surrounding her and her government. She is only doing this because of yesterday's reaction. We all know it, and so does she.

"Theresa May will visit a hospital in west London on Friday to meet medical staff and victims of the Grenfell Tower blaze, after being criticised for failing to do so earlier.

The prime minister went to the scene of the fire on Thursday to meet members of the emergency services who had tackled the blaze; but did not speak to local families directly.

Her failure to do so contrasted with a visit by the Labour leader, Jeremy Corbyn, who was pictured on Thursday comforting victims at a local community centre.

May’s visit comes as the government scrambles to show it is tackling the issues raised by the fatal tower block fire."
