The ultimate ''happy ending'' in every sense.

Sea change? He'll be the next president. :infest:

He's the boss, why shouldn't he be trusted? Maybe the younger more impressionable ones didn't know he was a sleaze bag.
Why put the blame on people being naive when it's the predator boss at fault?

Life is all about learning, not having someone do your thinking for you, as much as Blairite Nanny Staters would like it.

Que? :ugeek:

I wonder how many will hold him responsible for his deeds.

Well indeed. We have the honesty of the unwilling to thank for his demise. I just wonder where is the honesty from the willing. Seems Monroe was the last one.

Hate the game not the player.
They're honest with each other, warning one another about him behind closed doors. It's an industry that clearly doesn't care about abuse as long as your rich enough.
Monroe was isolated and suffered with depression and addiction, her honesty didn't save her, she needs the adoration of the audience so put up with that shit early on.

He would have had a stash hidden away I reckon. He’ll disappear to an exotic island somewhere and retire, surrounded by young hookers and starlets...

I’m not jealous though...

Yes, I suppose that's the only thing he can do, he will still have a comfortable life no doubt but life as he knew it, is over. Most of his Hollywood "friends" will abandon him and the press will hunt him down where ever he goes.

Somebody as manipulative and savvy as him will have a contingency plan up his sleeve, he’ll have known someday this would come out. In today’s fast paced social media based showbiz scene, HW will soon be yesterday’s news and there will be another monster for the masses to focus on.

Look at Trump for instance, he was caught on tape bragging about his abuse, he’s had numerous accusations levelled at him over the years and that cunt is the leader of the free world ffs.

...and this is what I absolutely don't understand. How is this possible? How can a man with Trumps morals become the POTUS? How, how how? Especially, like you said, it's on tape. It's not OK for a film producer ( and I agree it's not ) but perfectly OK for the President? Weird world :shake head:

The girls should have been defended.

Nothing to do with 'macho' crap but just one person must have known how to look after himself (a few boxers etc).

Still power corrupts and they were under his spell.

How horrible. :shake head:

Lol a couple of the women ran rings around him. The ones who you might think are weak or vulnerable were actually the feistiest women in his presence. :yikes:
Let's just say he won't forget them in a hurry. :yikes:
(You're right, the boyfriends weren't very helpful)
Goodnight, K, and whoever else is up. x

John Stewart was the best TV news commentator imo, before he retired...

He still pops up on Colbert from time to time.

The Dems could do far worse if they ran Stewart for the populist vote next time.

If he runs, he needn't worry about live debates with Trump.
Trump is not articulate enough to even discuss the flippin' weather, his only way of winning fans was to make a ton of bogus promises.
He rode into power on the anti-establishment ticket, droning endlessly about ''draining the swamp'' then packed the white house with goldman sachs employees.
He lied.

Yes I've sometimes seen people complain bitterly about Bill Maher's alleged double standards.
But hey , ultimately he's just a comic, he's not pressing for the POTUS job or anything.
So I won't judge.

Talk about fake from the outset

Bit harsh?

Donald's immigrant grandad changed the family name from Drumpf to Trump.

Many European immigrants changed their names or at least swapped to the anglicised version.

Sometimes people just got exhausted of having to pronounce or spell their complicated exotic names twenty times each day. :pmsl:

Another thing - the establishment's paranoia about commies in bygone times, made many people change their european or jewish names especially those in showbiz.
Getting on the commies blacklist (this was often orchestrated maliciously) meant no job, and or even imprisonment, so who could blame the innocent people who just wanted to integrate quietly and keep their heads down?

You're doing well to hang in that long

I was being generous  I'm sure the guy presents some good and insightful material, but the voice and the frenetic, machine gun speed delivery make me zone out.

Bill Maher's quieter, more laid back style is hard to beat, imo.

Maher is good, but he's too dour and humble (as is Anderson Cooper). A brazen, unapologetic style suits comedy better imo.
Also, facial expressions count. The hilariously bewildered expression of Oliver when describing absolute absurdities all add to the mix.
His fast talking style is the very thing that appeals to me - works well with the content of the show.
His british accent in the US, among dozens of comics with US accents - that works well too. Makes him stand out.
In the end comedy preferences is all down to personal taste I guess.

Whilst we're on the subject, respect to Buzzcock guy Sean Hughes.
You went too soon, RIP.

Millionaires are ten a penny they aren't part of the one percent.
