Well, everyone else is there, why not some Israelis?

BTW, I'm typing this while sitting in Mexico.

Is that wise? some of those ICBM's have seen better days and could fall well short of their targets. I've heard some of the older Russian ones still have homing pigeons attached to the nose cones.

Well, I'm actually in Texas in an area that used to be claimed by Mexico. Like the Golan Heights, I don't see this territory going back to its previous owners.

What do you mean "claimed by Mexico"? It is Mexico! You buggers stole it from Mexico in a massive land grab. Time you handed it back to it's rightful owner.

Railing against Russia’s annexation of Crimea and vowing that the United States would never recognize Russia’s “illegal occupation,” Vice President Biden angrily exclaimed yesterday that “no nation has the right to simply grab land from another.”

Oh?

What about the U.S. government’s annexation of the northern half of Mexico or, to be more precise, the land grab that encompassed California, New Mexico, Arizona, Nevada, Utah, Texas, and parts of Wyoming and Colorado?

Now that’s one great big land grab, especially compared to the much smaller land grab involving Crimea.

Moreover, at least Crimea had once been part of Russia. The same can’t be said of the northern half of Mexico. That gigantic land grab was an out-and-out stealing of another country’s territory.

The U.S. government had tried to take the Mexican land peacefully and legally by offering to buy it from Mexico. The response of the Mexican government was: No, thank you. Our country is not for sale.

So, the U.S. government decided to simply steal the land
— that is, take it away from Mexico by force. Since the United States was a much more powerful country militarily, the forcible annexation of the Mexican land would be no more a problem than the annexation of Crimea was to Russia.

Texas stole Texas from Mexico after the Mexicans stole if from the Spaniards who stole it from the Indians.

No doubt the US stole more a few years later. All of N. and S. America was stolen from someone at some point or another. Best just move along and accept that history had some less than moral land grabs.

I think that's why the Union Jack flies in those 6 counties in Ireland.

Can't argue with that.

The people who inflame these sorts of situations are sitting in offices in London, Moscow and New York and thinking about what's best for the value of their shares in BAE, Raytheon or Lockheed Martin rather than the effect they might be having on the rest of the world.

And, those are the people who's interests Trump has in mind.

They illegally invaded it. They were told to return it as they found it. They refused. :shake head:

You must be loaded then

I'm betting it took you awhile to come up with that one.
How many times did you edit it before you were happy with it?
