BREAKING Yorkshire earthquake 3.6

Post by Guest » Sat Jun 09, 2018 11:12 pm

An earthquake magnitude 3.6 has rocked Yorkshire and Lincolnshire late on Saturday night.

There are reports of houses shaking throughout the north of England - with numerous reports of buildings feeling the tremors in Beverley, suggesting the epicentre was close to the town.

There are unconfirmed reports that tremors have been felt as far away as Huntingdon in Cambirdgeshire.

UK Weather Update was first to tweet there had been a "confirmed magnitude 3.6 earthquake Yorkshire/Lincs with effects felt elsewhere".

The EMSC, an independant scientific organization which provides real-time earthquake information, says that a 3.9 magnitude earthquake struck 26km south-east of Hull at around 11.15pm.

We'll be bringing you the very latest updates, pictures and video on this breaking news story.
