Pro-EU Tory calls for 'government of national unity' to cope with the crisis – including Labour backbenchers
“I don't think that she's in charge anymore. I've no doubt Jacob Rees-Mogg is running our country,” Ms Soubry said.
She acknowledged that Jeremy Corbyn and his fellow “old Trotskyists in charge” of Labour were unlikely to agree to a coalition agreement to deliver a workable Brexit.
“We simply cannot go on like this. People in this country are fed up to the back teeth with Brexit.”
But she said: “I personally would abandon the Labour frontbench and I would reach beyond it and I would encompass Plaid Cymru, the SNP and other sensible, pragmatic people who believe in putting this country's interests first and foremost.”
https://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/p ... 1531900499I think it's fuck the people.
Fuck you.
The agenda to wreck this nation and rebuild it as a low tax (for the corporations and wealthy) low wage economy is steaming ahead.
Like I've said before there is a serious revolution taking place in this country based on class warfare.
The corporations have more or less won unless a general election is called urgently.
All this tactical shit about waiting for the mess to unravel is not sensible.
We don't have time to fuck about like that before everything goes in the blink of an eye.
If we crash out of Europe there will be emergency measures for the banks the corporations and the Mogss of this world and we will be paying and our great grandchildren too.
The Honourable Member for The 17th Century is a real oddity, I sometimes wonder if he's truly taking piss or is perhaps an unconscious comedian?
One could say that for the majority of Conservatives.
And for those of any party who'd like to take us back to 1970's and have the country closed down once more so that it once again becomes the sick man of europe.
I recall Heath taking us into Europe as probably the best option available to clean up the mess he inherited and I recall the Labour Movement during his tenure doing their best by having National Strikes to close the country down, to make it fail,so that their Soviet Masters could ride to the rescue to take us in to their control thereafter. Treasonous people if ever.
And I recall that in 1979 the people of this country had had enough of the Labour Movement and Union Power and they voted a woman in
"on a landlside"with the mandate to wrestle control back from the unions because they had had enough.
We soared upwards from that point onwards until 1997-2010 when matters went straight downhill and our fortunes plummeted.
GTH
What mess in the late 60s? He took us into the EEC THREE years after Labour were ousted. His policies induced a run on the pound, inflation doubled inside 18 months because of his policies. We started to soar after 1976 until the lying media made up shit about the mythical Winter of Discontent. Thatcher came in and destroyed UK manufacturing so much so we has a huge period of doldrums 1988-1995, highlighted by Black Wednesday. Only when Ken Clark used John Smith's economic policies did the country get moving again, so much so that by 2000-2001 we were in surplus. New Labour's debt increased by around £120 Billion for ten years in charge.
Raven you need to consult some books on UK economics before mugging yourself off.
