Is it not the case that the media, print, TV and Radio, set the political tone of what is 'acceptable' and what isn't? From that, the public at large take their cues and vote accordingly.
With so much right wing media and corporate promoting, is it any wonder that that is the types of government we've had since 1979? The 'trickle down' economics and 'third way' are all the same thing. It results in more private involvement, higher costs and poorer services with the few getting richer quicker than all the rest, who are lucky if they stay static rather than become poorer.
This so called centre or middle of the road is nothing more than going along with what the propaganda tells you, you should do. It's not even a secret with things like 'it was the sun what won it' and Murdoch visiting all PM's at various times. Despite that, people still believe what the msm tells them.
