He hinted about it when he praised Xi (We have always been at peace with Eastasia) for declaring himself life emperor.
The US constitution simply doesn't allow it. If the election doesn't happen he is removed from presidency and the Republican led Senate get to elect a new president.
There's a strict line of succession. After Vice-President Pence, who would also be out of office on Jan 20thm I believe next would be Nancy Pelosi, whom Trump hates.
Not so - as some of the House Seats would fall vacant Nancy Pelosi would no longer be the speaker because there would be a quorum to elect her. The line of succession then passes to the Senate and because of the way elections are happening this year the majority of Senators still in office would be Democrats.
I theory, by a never tested convention, it should go to the longest serving Senator but the Democrats could elect whomsoever they wish.
Were I the Democratic leadership I would be making it very clear that if Trump tries to delay the election or in any way cast doubt on its validity it will be President Bernie Sanders and Vice President Elizabeth Warren.
