Spades stuck with Spades and whites with whites...there were a few who mixed and hung around together but they were looked on with disdain by both sides.
Today however, I believe that most white people who maintain they have Black 'friends' only do so because they are outnumbered in their communities, this explains the white kids you hear talking like gangsta rappers.
Of course there will be a few exceptions but, by and large, given the choice you stick to your own..it's a fact, nothing racist about it.
I agree,
i have moved away from the area now and we do not keep in touch. never kept in touch with school freinds, and yes you are right, blacks stuck with blacks.
i drank in a predominately white pub and there were a few blacks in there, mainly the old jamaican guys and a few younger ones who loved football, they did not speak with twatcents and would not have got away with giving it the gangsta style talk there. I classed them as friends and would still do today if I saw them again.....as long as they have not changed to become the twatcent talking, chip on shoulder black person they are expected to be by many of the blacks round there.
There is nothing worse than a white person talking like they are black and white girls going out with blackboys only and thinking they are hard.
