I've never shopped at Primark, but when glancing in on passing it looks like a huge, messy free for all. My idea of a shopping nightmare. These days, I do all of my Christmas shopping online and then, nearer to Christmas, pretend to go shopping whilst really just having lunch and mulled wine.

The Hanley one is pretty tidy and well laid out. I wouldn't go anywhere else for PJs, undies, Christmas jumpers etc. The quality is surprisingly good and the choice is great.
Saying that, I wouldn't go near the place in December or a Saturday afternoon.

By the end of the day they are pretty much a glorified jumble sale aren't they.

Clothes and shoes and hangers etc strewn all over the floor I feel sorry for the staff that have to tidy it up

The one I go to isn't anything like that. It's as tidy as any other shop in town. At least it is when I've been.

The Blackpool one can be pretty manic on a weekend, I always cry a little inside when my daughter wants to go there. :gigglesnshit: Wall to wall people is not my idea of a fun day out.

I bought a present for someone the other day, which isn’t like me but it was the very thing. I might try and get some more things now too, being done my September sounds great Gabby.

Every year since I was a teen I start singing christmas songs. By the time christmas comes I am board waiting. Lumps of coal for everyone, may yer lum reek with someone elses coal. For those unfamiliar with tradition, on new years, if your first guest isn't tall with dark hair. You must enter with a lump of coal. I would really really really really really really really like to just be like I remember as a child. Though I was inthe wrong hemisphere at the time. I was going to start a what you dressing up as halloween thread. Then start a christmas thread :ooer: :bawlin: :grrrrr: :pmsl: :Hiya:

:gigglesnshit: I had to ask my Son what the humbug was. Thought it was an Aubergine cut funny for a variant of musaka.

I have birthdays to get over before Christmas :grrrrr:

But I’ve started buying the new Christmas decs. B&Q have their Christmas section so whilst I intended to nip in for some grout, I spent an age in the Christmas aisle stocking up on new lights.
I think I’m going to get new garlands this year too.

Well yes, if it’s for gifting to someone..... but the gin one would be just for me to countdown, like a kid with a chocolate Disney one! :leer:

I'll wait til December as usual and go mad!

I keep thinking I’ve finished Shell, but I see other stuff so keep adding to it! :thud:

I need to toughen up! ..... I’ve spent far more by starting early!

Have you got the "latest" toy for the kiddie? With you shopping early it may have been wise as I doubt you would get it this late.
