Along with Diwali celebrations sitting at home makes me feel sorry for Saddam in whatever Presidential Palace he was in at the time.

Still crying, you little nonce?

I haven't posted on here for hours. Yet when I did you've replied within minutes. Obsessed or what.

Stalker red flag big time.

The way you talk to me and others on here, you must have more lives than a cat with cat insurance.

How can I stalk you, if you weren’t here? :dunno:

It's like you are watching my every posting move and then you pounce almost immediately when I've posted. You're creeping me out a bit to be honest.

And you've still not worn out the word nonce yet I see. You are one sad fucker.

Karma is a bitch remember.

I had a sobering experience this year, we pushed the boat out and spent £35.
Planted them to the right level inside a huge stone garden pot.
One of the big freebie multi-shotters started veering off the vertical.
60 degrees then 45, the last one fired horizontally and exploded in the pot.
We were all back well over the required distance but it could have been worse.
Pissed up family laughed it off, kids were a bit scared. I went pale.

Glad to see you're ready for a civilised discussion.

Again you do know that was tongue in cheek.

The point I'm making is that many of us have to listen to dogs barking all year around and yes most of the shit I see outside is from dogs. I and many people put up with dogs, so people should put up with fireworks. It's called tolerance. Fireworks are part of UK and other countries cultures and I don't see why that should be taken away because some pets get stressed.

Every year this discussion comes up.

It's not just SOME dogs and cats that shiver with fear, it's hundreds of thousands  what about wild birds (who by the time fireworks start are trying to go to sleep) and various other wild life? :brickwall:

There's serious talk in NZ about making the sale of fireworks, crackers etc to the general public illegal and only allow council organised displays.

ETA......and lets not forget all the firers/ damages and injuries they cause every year.

Can I ban loud noises which wake me up in the night due to various factors? And should we ban thunderstorms and lightning? Birds and other wildlife cope with those I believe.

You sound like a person that says 'let's ban this because I don't like it', whatever it is.

Oh FFS jra, you truly are devoid of any logic, compassion and common sense. It is impossible to have any rational discussion with you.
Of course we can not ban thunder and lightning but we can ban man made shit that creates nothing but misery to pets and wild life plus injuries to people, damage to properties and bush firers....So YES, I'm a person that says 'let's ban this because I don't like it'

:turniphead:

I'm with you, I hate the damn things.

Still at it with the insults. Who is going to be your next target?

Did it mention you at all? Was it in any way in to do with you?

That'll be a no then eh?

So worried nobody is giving you any attention, you poke your nose in anywhere. Yet moan when you get a response. Twat  There you go, better now? :smilin:

Nice.

I just think it's the thin end of the wedge type stuff. Again, if animals can cope with things like thunderstorms, why can't they cope with fireworks?

You get wildlife living near to railway lines and airports. They don't seem too bothered about the constant noise.

It's been proven that when farmers use bird scarers to scare away birds from their crops, the birds get used to it and take no notice after a period of time.

etc.

Nice what? You don't think I have a point? You show nothing of the above BIB.

Wild life is usually in tune with nature, they do recognise when weather goes bad. Fireworks/crackers go off unpredictably, they also go off days before and days after the event.

Farmers do what they have to do to protect their crops, it's their livelihood, so it's a necessary evil but like you said, birds get used to it because it happens regularly.

Fireworks are not necessary. Wildlife living near rails and airports are used to it because the noise is there on a daily basis. Fireworks come along once or maybe twice a year, wild life has no chance of getting used to it.

...and are you aware of how many pets get lost or even die of fright? Why should that be allowed just because some idiots like loud bangs?
Anyway, I don't even know why I'm trying to explain this to you. You obviously have no care for other creatures, so I leave it at that.

I care for other creatures, more than you know.

BIB. Fireworks around here go off regularly at various times during the year, due to multiple religious or cultural events, e.g. Chinese New Year, Diwali to name a couple, not just in or around November the 5th. In other parts of the UK you have fireworks going off at special events, music concerts etc. Could be any time of the year.
