Gotcha.

I was unaware of that, that is sad to hear.

Thanks for the mention Holly. :smilin:

You accused me of being an sock/pbu or whatever. Not true and i will give you my spiel to clarify. I joined DS a long time ago, early 00s. I was young and still stayed at home. At the time the "other place" was DTV. I still remember the posters name who helped me register because i found a PM about it(Ginger Biatch- whoever that is :dunno:). I posted a few times but was never part of the clique. Anyway i moved out and the internet wasn't a priority. I grew up settled down and when i started using DS again the "other place" was now Dogs. I had long forgotten my DTV details and my hotmail account had been deleted :bawlin: I started guest posting here but decided to sign up because i got sick doing the captcha.

I stuck to the DS thread when i guest posted but when i signed up i started looking at all the forum. I have to admit i do find this place a bit weird. The way everyone knows everyone but not in a friendly way. The threads made calling out members was weird to me too. I looked back at the first page and i realised that that type of threads are normal around here. Which i accept. Anyway i kinda like it here. For now.

Ginge ran a site alongside DTV that was called DS2 from what I remember, she was pretty chill.

Most of our members come from DS, DTV/DSU, Bitchfest, SOL, Daily Mirror forums, Ch4 forums and various spinoffs, most of the bollocks that goes on is pure banter with no malicious intent

The moving avatars was an initial barrier for me. I don't know what my reaction would have been if I had found this site when there was a mass of dildoes being used. I would have maybe not taken this site seriously.

The crudeness of some of the comments I found to be a bit of a barrier - some members using the word c**t etc - I came to realise that's how some people expressed themselves in this neck of the woods and accepted it when it seemed to me that this emphatic language was not being used maliciously.

Then the appearance of SD777 was like the appearance of a mad person and trying to understand what on earth he was on about it led me to conclude several people here were like a "family" who seemed to know each other for a long time, that had met in real life, with shared pasts, but that had also generated "personal issues" with some, in terms of having fallen out with each other. So I was able to categorise the issues with SD777 and related as "personal stuff" and ignore it.

Then I explored the political discussion going on but found it not that open - but of course nothing like the toxicity on the DS political forum. For me the most useful part of this site is still the DS thread.

So this is the experiences of one baghead - a sort of disgruntled DS member who became aware of this site because someone on DS mentioned this site.

Hopefully the newbies aren’t as boring as this Cunt...

And that is retarded!

We're all pretty friendly, we just bounce off of each other a bit

The way that it seems to work is that Dean will start hassling you and someone will side with you and cause an almighty row filled with accusations and general bitching. While you're staring at your screen wondering WTF? You've been accepted.

Several people here were also on DTV, it was a good little forum for as long as it could be.

Anyone joining would probably have spent a bit of time looking at what goes on first, so they'd have a pretty good idea of what they're getting into. That was the case for me anyway. This place seems to consist mainly of people with past histories still pursuing vendettas against each other. Anyone new is best off taking it all with a pinch of salt.

Spot on. Which is why i said before i wouldn't reveal what my DS username was because before i know it i will have a decade worth of posting history used against me. No thanks. :pmsl:

It is not as bad as it can seem. By the way it was probably Dean and Twatkins that mentioned this site on digital spy that are ultimately responsible for my appearance over here. Some are much much better behaved over there than here.

When did I mention this site on DS?

If you have never mentioned it on DS then I must be mistaken. But the first I heard of dogs were in comments in General Discussion that were indirect rather than direct along the lines of "there is a group of people that spend all their time shadowing and talking about digital spy people and threads". So there were certain references of this type that appeared from time to time and then at some point someone mentioned sleeping dogs which I think I then googled and found. This probably would have been early to mid 2019.

yeah but it's much more fun here

I have to agree with Dean's assessment of me of being a tad boring. However I prefer things to be crude and honest than polite and "dishonest". I have also learnt that most people are "mad" to begin with but it is what makes us human - there is a certain creative spirit in our madness.
