The weather has been so lovely the last couple of days.

I moved home last October (well I didn't lift a finger actually as my kids did it all while I was in hospital). I didn't have a garden before so didn't see many birds apart from the seagulls.
I'm loving my little garden now and get lots of variety coming to visit.
My favourites at the moment are the Wood Pigeons.
I never noticed before but they have really comical but sweet cartoon like faces.

My son bought me a really good bird feeder for my birthday so now I can give them more variety to eat and they can even have a bath. :smilin:

My garden is kind of wild and I like it like that.
I have all kinds of weird and wonderful flowers popping up everywhere.

I have a nest of Starlings just above my living room window and it's fascinating to watch them coming and going all day.

I've always liked birds, even the really annoying seagulls but have found I actually find it relaxing to just sit and watch them.

Here's one from this morning at Minehead station, I had a delivery there but had to go and get my phone for a pic of this beastie :wubbers:

Great pic. I do love steam trains.

That's a really lovely thing to do.
We get little Geese families wandering around near one of our supermarkets.
There are signs up telling people to be careful and to slow down so as not to hurt them.
A couple of years ago some cunt deliberately ran one of the little families over and then last year another twat went and did the same.
There are little memorial plaques up to remember them.

I just don't get the mentality of someone who could do something like that.
I mean they weren't hurting anyone.

We have a lot of seagulls and there are always posts in the local paper about kids and even adults being cruel to them, often ending up in a painful death. Same for the pigeons.
I get the seagulls can be annoying. They rip up bin bags and leave rubbish everywhere but that's down to humans and their filthy ways.
Funny that since I moved house the seagulls don't rip up bin bags as people round here don't leave their rubbish lying around everywhere.
Instead they seem to spend their time tippy tapping on the grass to bring up the worms.

You reminded me of this…

That's brilliant

About 5 years ago I was in town and treated myself to a sausage sandwich.
I walked out the shop, went to take a bite and wham! I felt something slam into my shoulder and side of my face and my sandwich was gone.
It was a bloody big seagull.
It actually hurt and the side of my face was red and sore.
I saw the funny side though as I watched it fly onto the roof and enjoy my sausage sandwich
I'm much more careful about eating outside now though.

Was it with ketchup or brown sauce?
I ask because I know the bastard seagull who loves ketchup. :canny:
He’s also partial to Guinness and prawn cocktail crisps, beware if you’re in the beer garden.

Hahaha it was Brown sauce, always Brown sauce unless it's an actual hotdog with onions then it has to be ketchup

It’s a bit of a shame, I know you love your cars, a lot more than I do.
For me, they’re just a means of A to B, and I’ve never been excited by having the biggest, fastest, loudest car in the road.
But, given you love motorsports, and are a big car fan, I am guessing it’s different for you.
Just ensure you get a high performance beast that suits when you do eventually buy a new one.
For myself, a smart car would do, but I recognise the fact that we’re all different, and some guys love fast cars, or bikes.
However, I still loved the matt Damon film about Ford v Ferrari

I just like to feel comfortable and safe.

Buy a decommissioned AFV 432.

“FV432 Armoured Personnel Carrier
Price: £10000- £22,000 plus VAT
The FV432 is still in British Army service (Mk3) as its principal tracked APC. We have an extensive fleet of 25 FV432 (Mk2) in different operational conditions. Some will make great restoration projects.”

https://tanks-alot.co.uk/product/fv432- ... l-carrier/

Very comfortable, very safe, and excellent for when floods cause major problems for car drivers.
You could tow vehicles that are stuck, and even rescue ten or so people.
It could prove a nice little earner.

Apart from the fuel bill on a 240 mile commute per week, let alone the wear on the tyres and the cost of replacement.

Tracks, not tyres.
They’ll last a lifetime, so no worries.
Also I’d fancy my chances in any altercation with an articulated lorry in 15 tons of armour :smilin:

I don't have a massive budget, my friend.

We had some fun times but also some sad times, like when the passenger window didn't wind up at -4°C and after investigation the door lock stopped working as well causing the door to fly open. The present bill for essential repairs is far beyond reason, any further expense is a sunk cost fallacy :shake head:

The bloke who fixes it lined me up for an e46 320ci for a grand and I'm seeing him after work tomorrow with an exchange for scrap, the new car is well worth at least a year's use at that price. There really are some nice people out there, you just have to talk and listen to them :smilin:

The weather was lovely today with loads of bees and butterflies :nelix: :hive: :butterfly1: :twirl:

That sounds a good risk, go for it, and then call car sosage if it doesn’t work out.0

It’s often terrible getting rid of an old car that served you well, but there comes a time to let it go.
I logged into we buy any car, and the price was £220! :yikes:
So I sold it privately for £1,000.
I received calls about a leaking sunroof and faulty electric windows :gigglesnshit:
He fixed everything and after 10 years of motoring, on classic insurance, he sold it for in excess of £5K.
I can’t see what his problem was.
He told me driving it was an absolute dream.
Same here! :smilin:
