Yo Gig, any luck on the Diamond front ? just a thought, rings that are set don't sell for much but if you have a diamond on its own it will sell for more. I have several set rings but they are sentimental in value.

Its stone.

I reckon that if I was a banker it would be a dinosaur paw.

The bottom pic looks a bit like a person praying, could it be part of a wooden sculpture? :ooer:

'Nothing quite like it, a dinosaur with two sicklelike claws on each foot, was known to live in the final period of the age of great reptiles. Little wonder fossil hunters in Romania were astonished when they unearthed remains of a distant relative of Velociraptor, the familiar single-claw predator of fierce repute, and saw its unusual stocky limbs and double-clawed feet.'

It is true that the ridges in the pictures of the black ammonites are very pronounced.

They never used OPI then ?

Although its not apparent from the photos, the longways ridge goes all the way. Possibly a couple of talon, a larger and a small.

Apparently it is believed:

'Britain formed part of the last "land bridge" between the two continents before they finally split apart 65 million years ago and experts believe it was one of the few places where dinosaurs from both sides would have existed together.
Researchers also found that a significant number of dinosaur species originated in Britain, making it a key area for their evolution.'

Also, none of the black ammonites appear to have a longways ridge.

It could be a dinasaur claw.

This is an ammonite fossil, noticable by the growth ring 'ridges' on the shell. Yours appears to be almost smooth, which leads me to think it is a snail.

There are silver diamonds and there are yellow diamonds. I assume there are silver yellow. And perhaps we should have the fossil pics on this page.
