After going to a couple of pubs in London (near Euston) with my best mate we were catching a train home from St. Pancras International. My mate was on the train and I about 10 metres behind with a very heavy rucksack. The doors were going to close (beeping), so I attempted to rush onto the train. The next thing I know I've lost my footing and fallen onto the platform in severe pain. The platform guard helped me to my feet and my mate pulled the rucksack onto the train.

At Luton I was offered a lift to L&D A&E by car from a guy who witnessed the incident.

After extensive tests/checks, blood test, ECG, intravenous drip etc., it turns out I've fractured my right humerus in 3 different places. After about 5-6 hours I was discharged from A&E. It's the first bone I've ever broken. My arm is in a sling and I'm on the painkillers.

Ouch ouuuch!! :yikes: A humdinger of souvenir :yikes:
You were a maths student, you know a bit about physics ..... you know that heavy backpacks alter your centre of gravity and fk up your balance big time.
Get well soon luv xx.

Indeed. Not only that, the weight of the rucksack added to the impact force onto the platform when I fell. I've grounded my rucksack for at least a couple of months. However, it also broke my fall in that I didn't get any (serious) head or neck injuries. You've got to count your blessings, as things could have been a whole lot worse.

It's my right arm which is broken, but I'm predominantly left-handed, so again it's the better arm to break for me if you had to choose one or the other.

I'm fairly ambidextrous as well.

Wishing you a speedy recovery, jra.

Horrible thing to happen, hope it all heals well.

Translates to.... why wish him well when all you ever do is give him shit

No, it translates to... "I don't wish anyone bad luck in RL even if they are forum scum".

Haha... says it all!.... like you care! :pmsl:

Have you noticed how he now disappears when ever Dean and Rollup go on their racist attacks against LM?
He won't condemn them so he just stays away or guest posts. He's back now testing the water. Dean will be back with his I've hardly posted recently bollocks. Like were supposed to fall for it. Thank god these old dinosaurs won't be around for much longer

I take it they’ve not been around much then?.... makes sense I guess, Az tends to need his arse wiping!
