Sorry to drag up a old thread, but some really good advice in it.
I just wish I'd read it a couple of weeks ago when I had a chesty cough and couldn't get rid of it. I've always had problems with my chest since I was a child, getting bronchitis quite regularly and even having pleurisy a couple of times.
I had a inhaler prescribed for me a few years ago and never bothered to get a repeat prescription for it, I have to see my G P in a couple of weeks regarding a MRI referral, I'll mention it at the appointment. But will definitely try the steaming next time it happens, the bonus being it gives my pores a deep clean!
I had the flu jab in November last year and strangely this year I've had a bad couple of colds, it's the third year I've had the jab and the first time it hasn't worked that well, it's usually my husband who gets the bad colds after having the jab, he has to have it because he's T2 diabetic.
Will definitely try some of the suggestions though.
