Not bad for a medieval woman, cheeky git!

ha, that quote alone basically says We can only process one thought at a time. I doubt it was intended for a male audience :awesome: have a Good night Milady.

“So much for their looks; but their characters - that is a much more difficult matter. We all have our quirks and no one is ever all bad. Then again, it is not possible for everyone to be all things all of the time: attractive, restrained, intelligent, tasteful and trustworthy. We are all different and it is often difficult to know on which aspect to dwell.”

an intersting thought. profound, even though a Woman wrote it.

so why did You chose Lady Murasaki? I have had a keen interest in japanese history and cultue since I was 8.

She’s ahead of her time. First woman to write a novel/diary, or at least have it published. And this quote is spot on.

just reading the wiki page. seems there is quite a bit of contraversy over authorship. haven't as yet read any passages. My knowledge is centred around the time of Bushido medeval japan.

Yeah it’s pretty old. Probably excerpts from her diary which have been pieced together with pieces from other ‘ladies in waiting’.

She seems to have the upbringing for it to be entirely her own work. the problem is with the dialect. and not using names or compleating phrases. I started to get a head ach trying to understand what she wrote and that is with a translation. not to into novels, but it sound like it is full of intruge, and drame with a few resque controversies.

If You saw Me in Your dreams a baby seal wouldn't be a passing thought. I was Peter Pan in a former Life.

The boy who never grew up? Like most men?

well what dose every Woman want. a Partner who can remind them of the Girl they forgot.

:smilin: That’s good. How do you do that? Fly around town?

I asked one question, You respond with five questions (yip that seems right? ) : P

It would be like clubbing a baby seal! I couldn’t do that.

I am not a baby seal, I could take back the club any time, except when I am sleeping.
