Most of the ripe I see around inland is the blue stuff I think is polypropylene which phone company use for pulling cables underground.

Knots are cut off and discarded into the sea, it's a common practice. Raw sewage while disguising is biodegradable within days unlike lumps of plastic rope.

Use hemp again at least.
