That bridge and road has been there a hundred and fifty years and maybe more and still they haven't done fuck all to bring it into the modern world.
Where I live is all hills mountains valleys cliffs rivers we get bridges hit and bridges replaced we get railways lines washed into the sea buried under landslides it's never ending but things are done things are repaired often altered same in Scotland but England seem to have sunk into a mentality of no can do.
There's a road not far from me that suffered landslides and flooding.
There was no way to reroute the road they'd tried holding back the mountain but it didn't work so they cut a fucking big chunk of it away and made it into a gentle slope put massive drains and ditches on the low side of the road problem solved.
To much tutting and head shaking these days.
To much we can't maintain the infrastructure but yes we can.
If we can't if we don't then it all just falls apart and we seem to have a government who have no plans no ideas about very much at all so shit is crumbling and the public think it's the only way can't be avoided ramble over.
