Yes Sunny, I've seen the trailers for this - looks a bit more authentic and true(er) to the legendary birth of the famous vampire.
Most people know Stoker based him on an actual person, often known as Vlad the Impaler for his habit of nailing the hats on the heads of emissaries sent by the Sultan to treat with him and impaling captives on stakes rammed up their arse and out their mouths, to frighten the enemy soldiers, there is a lot more to him though and his story.
Not many people know that from the fall of Byzantium, the Turks ruled over large areas of Eastern Europe for centuries. The area which now covers Bulgaria, Romania, Serbia, Moldova, Hungary and some of the Ukraine (not Greece though) was under thrall to the Ottoman Turk Empire.
Dracula's name derives from the word 'Dragon' and it was the dragon cult/organisation which he belonged to which had for centuries hated the Turks. He was based largely in an area of Romania and rose up against the Turks when they put pressure on him and the King of Hungary to supply them with troops and goods for their army.
It's a great story, the real one - I wonder how true to it this one will be?
