For the first time i went to see a movie without reading a single review first. I usually disagree with the review verdict anyway.
It was a low-certificate flick cos there was no violence what so ever.
No guns, no gadgets, no silly cgi effects, the plot (and nothing else) carried the movie.
No sex either ..... but lots of norty jokes which would have gone over the heads of any minors in the audience.
Lots of beautiful, lush scenes in one of England's most affluent areas - Cambridge.
The uni buildings had beautiful Georgian (?) architecture internally & externally that were just delightful.
Lots of brilliant quotes too.
Stephen Hawking studied science, his wife studied art and the 3rd person in the triangle (yes there was a love triangle) studied religion.
It showed how science , art and religion were interwoven.
It could have been a very messy menage a trois, but it wasn't.
His deterioration in health was sad to see.
There were many painfully poignant moments.
I MUST stop going to the cinema, the sad moments keep making me weep bucketfuls of salty tears.
The halls are not totally dark, people can see you wiping your eyes there's nowhere to hide.
