Never watched Soldier Soldier but Jerome is fantastic in Ripper Street. That’s the sign of a really good actor- to be able to play such different roles so well.
I agree that Jerome is great in Ripper Street, but I like all three main characters to be honest. :smilin:
It is thanks to Keyser (and his list he made for me) that I gave it a try in the first place. I am enjoying it so far.

Soldier Soldier was very good until Robson and Jerome left it. It wasn't the same after that. :shake head:

Yeah, I found Ripper Street gripping for the first few seasons because of the 3 main characters.

Also apparently Jerome is excellent in GOT as Bronn as well (still never watched that despite having the first four series on DVD).

I forgot about that, he has a great to and fro dialogue with the Lannisters. Superb actor, really enjoy watching him.

My favourites of all time from the past are completely different - number 1 is the Sopranos - love Tony, and the one liners from Junior etc.

Number 2 is Auf Widershien Pet - the first two series in the 80's were fab - loved when they went to Spain.

The later more modern ones weren't so good IMO, Oz was diluted down - he was fabulous in the first two. :wubbers:

Hill Street Blues and ER. Oh and Thirty Something. Plus of course Cheers and Frasier.

Though you can't beat the Two Ronnies. I loved Ronnie Barker :wubbers:

Those are two of my favourite programmes as well.

Although I think Heimat may be the best programme ever, though that is like a TV version of a great novel, long and slow but ultimately very rewarding.

Some classic old British dramas.

The Sweeney.

I Claudius (historically inaccurate but who cares with that cast).

Tinker, Tailor, Soldier Spy.

Boys from the Blackstuff.

Threads.

The Singing Detective.

House of Cards (the original with the great Ian Richardson).

Cracker (in particular 'To Be a Somebody').

Our Friends in the North.

It certainly was excellent!

It was that, that lead me to watch Justified because of Walton Goggins being in it. Turned out to be my favourite series ever.

The guy who wrote The Shield was the same behind Sons of Anarchy. He plays Otto in SoA. All of the Strike team from the shield appear in SoA at some point, as well as the other detectives and even capt. Acevada...

Agreed - both were excellent although I have yet to see the last series of Justified (or SOA for that matter).

Walton had a few great cameos in Sons of Anarchy - and a cracking pair of knockers!
