On the face of it his kids seemed incredibly well brought up. And I'm sure the guy with glasses is a Stockbroker. The Mothers must have done a great job.

I remember the age where Brits would laugh at ourselves and everything and everyone, without hating or being offended by the subject matter.

The thing about Davidson is he recognised what it meant to be human. He focused on our prejudices and our weaknesses and idiocies. He was certainly an acquired taste and I think as a person, he was, at least back then, quite immature. But who are we to judge? Are any of us perfect?

I found him absolutely hilarious in his heyday. He was energetic and very blue without actually being personal against anyone.

I went off him a while ago because he ran out of ideas and energy. He has also spent the last few years justifying his old routine which he seems to have been forced to do. He shouldn't. He should have just said "that was then, this is now. People have different attitudes these days and I recognise that, which is why my act from the past would not be appropriate in the present". But he doesn't. He tries to insinuate the audience is wrong and that he should be allowed to perform in the way he did.

Of course, he does perform in the way that he did, but never understands the reasons for the criticism he gets.
