My youngest's best mate's Dad is the manager of the Hotel that Cleese based Faulty Towers on. Things have changed since 1973, Cleese and Booth chose to stay in the Gleneagles instead of the Links Hotel, things may well have been different if he had stayed with the rest of the Pythons while they filmed in the bay.

At the time of it, Queer Sidney ran the Links, God knows what Cleese would have done with the setup then (Yeah, Sid used to get his lovers thrown out of the windows of the bar) :gigglesnshit:

Of course "keeping up Appearances" thanks for that NS. :Hiya:
Never watched Father Ted once, hubby always watched it, never took to it, sad that he died.

Keeping up appearances is my favourite! :twirl:

I also like One foot in the grave.

The Thin Blue Line was ace - Inspector Grim is one of the best characters of all time in sitcom IMO.

Dad's Army of course must get a mention - absolute classic!

I don't get Only fools and horses - I really don't. I've tried to watch it but it leaves me cold. I like David Jason in other things but not in that. I don't like Father Ted either - don't get it at all.
