TRUMP PSYCHOANALYSED

I think this is very very mean of Trump.

It’s been a White House tradition for many decades: a first-term president hosts his immediate predecessor in the East Room for a ceremony to unveil the portrait of the former president that will hang in the halls of the White House for posterity. Republican presidents have done it for Democratic presidents, and vice versa — even when one of them ascended to the White House by defeating or sharply criticizing the other.

"We may have our differences politically," President Barack Obama said when he hosted former President George W. Bush for his portrait unveiling in 2012, "but the presidency transcends those differences."

Yet this modern ritual won’t be taking place between Obama and President Donald Trump, according to people familiar with the matter. And if Trump wins a second term in November, it could be 2025 before Obama returns to the White House to see his portrait displayed among every other U.S. president.

Trump is unconcerned about shunning yet another presidential custom, and he has attacked Obama to an extent no other president has ever done to a predecessor. Most recently he’s made unfounded accusations that Obama committed some unspecified crime.

For his part, Obama reportedly has no interest in attending any event with Trump.

You have this exactly backwards. Obama was the one who childishly said he wouldn’t attend, breaking with all tradition.
Trump just responded.

Correct. It was discovered that the ceremony would not be taking place because it is not even in Trump's diary, Obama then said that he had no interest in attending ceremonies hosted by Trump.

Yes that is correct. Trump said he couldn't fit it in to his busy schedule for this year as it's election year.

guest wrote:Trump is not a politician. That is the main problem. He is a successful businessman and talks as a tough businessman - suggesting an extreme bargaining line to begin with and then negotiating to get the best deal. His openness and candor makes people and the media go ape-shit including a lot of people that should know better - including many in academia.

However, many years before he was president he was often asked to run for the presidency to sort out the US industry and the trade deficit. He always said not now but he might consider it later in life. This included Oprah Winfrey asking him to run for President. This was a while ago. He was never considered a racist, xenophobe but was considered a womanizer. I also heard he was tee-total, didn't do drugs and had an IQ of over 120.

But in the Presidential race and in his tweets as President - he has caused half of America and many of the liberal elite around the world to go ape-shit. He is the most open and accessible President America has ever had. But because of his coarse manners, patriotism, tough language people lose their mind (Trump Derangement Syndrome).

Maybe his lack of political acumen will cause him to come a cropper this time. He doesn't need to care if he loses the next general election - he will do fine.

Horseshit.

Trump was never a successful businessman - don't get me wrong he was an excellent self-promoter but he lost more money than any other American - end of sentence. Had he not been bailed out first by his family and later - according to his own son - by the Russians he would be a pauper.

No Oprah didn't ask him to run for President - in 1988 she asked then 42 year old Donald Trump if he would ever run for President and he said he probably wouldn't.

Trump is anything but open and accessible. He lies just to keep in practice and has tried to remove access from reporters who ask challenging questions. There are multiple instances of him storming using physical intimidation on violence - particularly against women because he's a coward and cunt.

He's also not a patriot, patriots don't back Russia over America.

Trump's presidency is an exercise in irony. He won because nobody thought their's could possibly be the vote that would put him into power, and full credit to the Russians who designed the NLP behind that - it was an absolute masterwork. Meanwhile Hilary lost because nobody thought she could lose and nobody thought that withholding their vote would be the difference her winning and losing - it was going to be a landslide for her and that would be bad so ......

If you ever play backgammon there's a high risk strategy called a back game - you only use it when your opponent is so far ahead you have no realistic chance of winning using conventional tactics and by and large when you switch to a back game your opponent definitely shouldn't offer you the cube - that was the mistake the Democrats made in 2016, it shouldn't happen again. In fact I expect the Democrats to use the same tactics on the GOP.

No, that is not correct. Obama decided to skip it. I live in the States. I know what the sequence of events was. Obama is upset because his administration is being exposed for theIr nefarious activities.
