BTW, while I consider myself on the left I'm not one who believes that immigration should not be controlled. Not for racist reasons of course, simply because of finite resources etc. Shameful I know.

As it is unlikely we will ever be able to deport them,so why not?

Legalise them and keep them here but stop the flood coming in--and for exactly the reasons I have stated so many times and which you have just echoed.

We are not a bottomless pit.
