The war has started and further sanctions may force Iran to develop a nuke?

With 3% of GDP accounting for the fourth largest military force, and israel increasing military manuvers it is known that Iran is being forced into a situation where they may need to react as justification.

Russia is now a member of the WTO and the APEC free trade zone has been discused! Chinas GDP still 9% and russia being a techno economic growth center providing 5 years income tax free, 0% corprate taxes and the recent gas pipe line under the black sea to Germany compleated with a second still under construction.

Russia has full access to irans nuke facilities and the recent reports mentioned in the press stating that Iran is building a nuke weapon are 8 years out of date and only involve calculations of processes, construction and deployment of a device if ever it was decided! According to Russian investigators there is no evidence that the recently submited reports are factual today! If Iran did decide to produce a nuke it would take two years under current sanctions imposed on the civilians of the country. TAKE NOTE!! The sanctions already imposed on Iran are the harshest imposed on any country on the planet!

Further sanctions are for the purpose of ragime change, no more no less! And that is achived by creating disention in the population by attacking the basic resourses the people are able to aquire.

As if a nuke Iran would be a problem!! Pakistan, India havn't used their WMDs. Israel hasn't yet (?) south Africa, granted the British, French and Russians have used them, but unlike the US not in war!

Off topic a bit... Who knew that 15 million Chinese died fighting the axis alliance along side the British, US, Russian (90% of the German army on the eastern front!), and China. Though details of chinas involvement apart from 15 million dead I need to reserch further.

Back on topic... Iran is one of the first members of the UN. One of the oldest cultures. And has a high percentage of an educated population. And not forgeting advanced medical procedures.

There is no justification for any sanctions as far as I can see. Of course not neglecting resourse aquisition! Just need to ask canny a question on a slightly different topic where further thoughts are expanded.

Iran and its people are no problem, as stated, they are educated and were one of the most weternised nations in the middle east.

Unfortunately their leaders are not, they are fundamentalist muslims who talk of nothing but wiping the 'plague' of Isreal from the face of the earth.

Most of the people, particularly those in the big cites, want regime change - they are fed up with living in fear of secret police and mad mullahs.

It suits Russia to plead for the current Iranian regime, they have no interest in freedom for the Iranian people, only what they see as a closed market which they can exploit.

It is a shame that the Iranian people cannot rid themselves of these tyrants, unfortunately they wouldn't have a chance without outside help, whether the western world should give them that, is another matter.
