Kowtowing British Tory Press goes into overdrive on strike

Postby Cactus Jack » Fri Nov 25, 2011 9:58 am

The British Tory Press - loathe it or ignore it you can't like it - is falling over itself to demonise the civil service strike on 30th November.

Whether it's publishing rigged polls like the Sun, using a misdirection based on the salaries of Union leaders like both the Mail and the Sun or putting out claims about how the Public Sector, which we have been told by David Cameron and his press pals is a nothing but a bloated parasite, is a suddenly vital part of the economy, our society and lifeline for the vulnerable.

Once again, as with their phone hacking of dead girls and their attempts to big up Dodgy Dave before the last General Election. the British press prove themselves out of touch with the morality of the British people.

I'm in two minds about this strike, on the one hand I support it purely for the fact we need to show business and government that they can't just walk all over us when it suits. On the other hand, fuck the Unions and public service workers, they were quitely sucking their thumbs and sitting by, whilst business hacked it's way through private sector jobs and wages.

Having said that, it is ludicrous for the government and media to bleat on about the £billions the economy will lose in this strike, when they can quite happily give and support a 'day off' to millions for a Royal wedding and another for the Queens Jubilee next year.

Apparently only a third of members actually voted to strike. It seems that even most of their own members did not want to strike. So much for democracy withing the Trade Union movement.

No-one can be forced to strike.

Everyone will be forced to new pension contracts when the government reneges on existing ones.

I support the strikers

Guest - The Tory Press has told Spicy that not voting for a strike is the same as voting against a strike.

Not being able to think for herself she believes this

Between 3 and 4 times as many voted FOR strike action as those who voted AGAINST.

Seems the government and Tory press has a lot less support than the Unions.

Not in any intelligent persons mind. They are clearly different.

For example, a professor at my former uni would love to be at the strike and to strike but she didn't receive her paper. Still on a study trip until December and couldn't receive the papers or vote in time.

A twisted member of the Loony Right like Griffin would say she didn't vote - she didn't want to vote.
