What!!! And become like you?? :yikes:

Yes! Gregarious, sociable, fun loving.......instead of some whining old fool who decries half of surrey their right to don their gortex jackets, plus fours and hiking boots, just to drive to the lake district and have picnics in car parks(dressed for everest) and then onwards and sideways for a few bevvies in the local fell trekker bars....whilst never having hiked any great distance above sea level :SGrin:

At least they make an effort on the dress front and pour pounds into the local coffers :more beer:

Do you miss drink that much that seeing other people quaff a few pints makes you miserable?

Apart from the fact that I've climbed (we locals call it walking since to us its a piece of piss) every major fell several times you're correct.

Cumbria traditionally relied on manufacturing industries, steelworks, mining and Sellafield. Your stockbroker friends contribute next to fuckall to the majority of working people.
