Ex-national security adviser Michael Flynn has pleaded guilty to making false statements to the FBI about meetings with Russia's ambassador weeks before Donald Trump became president.

The charges were brought by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, as part of his inquiry into alleged Russian meddling in the 2016 US election.

Mr Flynn is the most senior member of the administration to be indicted.

He said he was co-operating with Mr Mueller's inquiry.

We live in interesting times, but the 'excitement' seems to be solely based on division. We could have been moving on with a post-crisis recovery, but seem instead to be in some sort of parallel universe where truth is the first casualty and greed rules the roost, encouraged by our leaders. Little wonder some see protest votes as their only voice. Sadly, their protests seem to have only emboldened our rulers and strengthened their resolve to milk us for all they can get.

For those curious, Flynn has plead guilty to lying to the FBI. This is in conjunction with meeting the Russian Ambassador, which was part of his job. It has nothing to do with peepee dossier or Russian interference, there wasn't any. The Russian connections are on the Dems side, HRC and chums to be more precise.

It proposed that FBI Director Robert Mueller be the one that personally conduct the transfer a 10-gram sample of HEU to Russian law enforcement sources during a secret “plane-side” meeting on a “tarmac” in the early fall of 2009.

"We require that the transfer of this material be conducted at the airport, on the tarmac near by the plane, upon arrival of the Director's aircraft."

The FBI Director was originally scheduled to ‘return’ a sample from the DOE stockpile to the Russians in April but the trip was postponed until September 21.
