NBC News, oh dear.

MSM:
Greenwald: The U.S. Media Just Suffered Its Most Humiliating Debacle in Ages

Friday was one of the most embarrassing days for the U.S. media in quite a long time. The humiliation orgy was kicked off by CNN, with MSNBC and CBS close behind, with countless pundits, commentators and operatives joining the party throughout the day.

There was just one small problem with this story: it was fundamentally false, in the most embarrassing way possible. Hours after CNN broadcast its story – and then hyped it over and over and over – the Washington Post reported that CNN got the key fact of the story wrong.

The email was not dated September 4, as CNN claimed, but rather September 14 – which means it was sent after WikiLeaks had already published access to the DNC emails online. Thus, rather than offering some sort of special access to Trump, “Michael J. Erickson” was simply some random person from the public encouraging the Trump family to look at the publicly available DNC emails that WikiLeaks – as everyone by then already knew – had publicly promoted. In other words, the email was the exact opposite of what CNN presented it as being.

How did CNN end up aggressively hyping such a spectacularly false story? They refuse to say.

If lying in office was sackable, there'd be no governments in the west. It's what they lie about or why, and no-one knows that yet.

FBI is corrupt, ever since CIA involvement and creation of JTTF they've bee a law unto themselves. McCabe was appointed to head FBI one week before 911. JTTF was created after 911, McCabe has been involved all along, as has Wray, Comey Mueller and the Clintons. It's all coming out, bit by bit. :wurms:

I'm talking about the dotard who has lied how many times since taking the office of the President of the United States?

Thought you meant Flynn.

How many times has May lied? :dunno:

Don't agree with either but lying is a bit tame considering the politicians the west has. Lying is expected.

Becerra Tried To Block Server Admin Over Red Flags, But Logins Continued, With Muted Reaction

The then-congressman, who is now California’s attorney general, refused to articulate even the barest details of the cyber breach at a press conference Wednesday, and would not say whether he’s seeking criminal charges against longtime IT aide Imran Awan and his family.

Members of the Awan family logged on to the Caucus server 7,000 times without authorization between October 2015 and August 2016, according to a House investigation. The logins suggested “the server is being used for nefarious purposes and elevated the risk that individuals could be reading and/or removed information,” it said.

Multiple sources said Sean McCluskie, who was Becerra’s chief of staff and is now chief deputy attorney general of California, knew of problems well before law enforcement was brought on board in October 2016.

On Jan. 24, 2017, Becerra vacated his congressional seat to become California’s attorney general and hoped to clear his data. “We asked for an image of the server, and [the Awans] deliberately turned over a fake server,” the senior official said.

Quite a long article but reveals a lot more of what has been going on.

Senate chairman presses nuclear regulators on Uranium One exports

"In his letter, Barrasso said he believes he received misleading responses at the time of his initial questions in 2010 from the Obama Department of Energy (DOE) and then-NRC Chairman Greg Jaczko." ......

"Republicans have long raised questions about the Obama administration’s approval of Russia’s Uranium One purchase, both because of national security concerns and revelations that Bill Clinton collected personal speech money and charitable donations from parties interested in the sale while the issue was pending at his wife Hillary Clinton’s State Department.

Clinton and Obama officials have countered those concerns for years by saying there were no national security concerns cited by any of the 10 federal agencies that approved the deal and that none of Uranium One’s uranium was exported."

McCabe Cancels Testimony, Something "Far More Sinister" With Fusion GPS

Sources: "McCabe has an Ohr problem," and they believe "FBI DepDir McCabe not coming to Hse Intel Cmte tomorrow because he'd be asked about Bruce Ohr & Ohr's wife Nellie who worked for Fusion GPS," adding "something far more sinister."

FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe abruptly cancelled his closed door testimony in front of the House Intelligence Committee as news emerged that the wife of Senior DOJ official Bruce Ohr worked for Fusion GPS, the opposition research firm which assembled the infamous "Trump dossier." Ohr was demoted last week after allegedly trying to conceal his contacts with Fusion.

Public Enemy No. 1: Walls Closing In On Peter Strzok As Questions Arise Over His Involvement In FISA Application

"I think he's the guy who took the application to the FISA court...and if that happened...if you have the FBI working with the Democrats' campaign, taking opposition research, dressing it all up and turning it into an intelligence document and taking it to the FISA court so they can spy on the other campaign...if that happened...that's as wrong as it gets."

Yes, the FBI is America's secret police

In order to boost the credibility of the FBI’s investigations of the Trump team, much of the media is whitewashing the bureau’s entire history. But the FBI has been out of control almost since its birth.

Meanwhile, back in reality...

He worked in the White House when former national security adviser Michael Flynn was fired. He spoke with President Donald Trump about firing former FBI Director James Comey. And he played the role of initial mediator between the Trump campaign and the data company that made overtures to WikiLeaks, which is suspected of having Kremlin ties.

So Steve Bannon, President Donald Trump’s former chief political strategist and campaign chief executive, could very well be the next key witness interviewed by special counsel Robert Mueller in his ongoing investigation into possible Russian collusion, with some saying it’s almost “inevitable,” Politico reported Monday morning.

As for Moore, here's a lesson in democracy:

At 1:36 p.m. Monday, a Montgomery County Circuit Court judge issued an order directing Alabama election officials to preserve all digital ballot images created at polling places across the state today.

But at 4:32 p.m. Monday, attorneys for Alabama Secretary of State John Merrill and Ed Packard, the state administrator of elections, filed an "emergency motion to stay" that order, which the state Supreme Court granted minutes after Merrill and Packard's motion was filed.

By granting the stay, the court effectively told the state that it does not in fact have to preserve the digital ballot images - essentially digitized versions of the paper ballots voters fill out at the voting booth - created today.

No collusion, just Clinton cabal corruption. Peepee dossier was fiction, Russia interference is fiction. Scratching about trying to find something, anything, to justify the expense and try and cover their embarrassment is is getting ever more desperate.

meanwhile, the fuckwit in chief carries on being, well a fuckwit.

Trump Justifies US Strikes Against Syrian Government Forces As ‘Lawful Measures’

he president wrote in a letter to the US Congress on December 11 that since the last periodic update report, the US Armed Forces participating in the anti ISIS campaign in Syria have undertaken “a limited number of strikes against Syrian government and pro-Syrian government forces.”

Trump added that the strikes “were lawful measures to counter immediate threats to the United States and partner forces engaged in that campaign.”

The US president just forgot to note that the US actions in Syria have never been authorized neither by the Syrian government nor by the UN. Furthermore, the Syrian government describes the US presence “illegal” and says that it’s “aggression.”
