Longest war in America's history. Very real chance that in the next couple of years there will be US troops being sent into that place who weren't even born when it started.

With the Taliban in control of broad swaths of the country and the Afghan military locked in a primarily defensive war, it is unclear how a new infusion of NATO or U.S. forces could radically turn the tide of the conflict.

At the time this picture was being used to fool the people the narrative was we know these caves are there because we built them for use against the Russians.
My first thought at the time was ....
there were half a million Russians there with their civilian military inteligence people and satellites overhead and the Yanks built roads for the trucks and heavy machinery. All the sand and cement and steel got past the Russians and all the activity on the surface that would be involved.

The last bullshit about Bin Laden was killing him in a firefight in Pakistan and the miserable failure of the propaganda then with Obama and Clinton acting out a scene worthy of any soap where they watched in shock as it all unfolded live in Washington for them.

If Bin Laden wasn't dead then all he'd have to do to completely destroy any credibility the USA has on the global stage would be to make a video where he says "Hai guyz! I'z not ded!".

Course, maybe Bin Laden was actually a super-sekrit US agent and they just decided to pension him off and so they told the world he was dead when in reality he's living in a condo' in Miami?
Again, however, that puts the credibility of the world's most powerful country in the hands of a retired actor and relies on nobody actually discovering that he's still alive.

If we're to assume that the USA is devious enough to find some guy and set him up as "the boogyman" just so they could start a bunch of wars and embark on their dastardly plan to reshape the world as they want it, wouldn't they ALSO be devious enough to just fucking KILL that guy once he'd outlived his usefulness?
