I heard of a case of someone caught driving whilst disqualified and when told by the bench they were more concerned with the fact that the driver wouldn't have been covered by insurance, was told by the defendent that it was ok because it was a company car on a block insurance, to which they replied "I see, thats fine then" ..... even the CPS brief looked at the defendent and went

The upshot was a £450 fine, no extension of the ban or extra points so a decent result really.

Her grandma dying 2 years earlier has got fuck all to do with anything, 'a committed charity worker' could mean anything. Yeah, she worked hard at nicking £350 grand, I'll give her that one, LMAO at she 'paid her taxes' - since when did paying your taxes become a defence? 'Out of character' = she's never been caught before. And she sounds like a responsible citizen - fleecing her employers to feed a poker addiction, if only there were more of her sort around.
