Twenty-fifth Amendment to the United States Constitution

Twenty-fifth Amendment to the United States Constitution

Postby Stooo » Wed Aug 23, 2017 7:03 pm

The Twenty-fifth Amendment (Amendment XXV) to the United States Constitution deals with succession to the Presidency and establishes procedures both for filling a vacancy in the office of the Vice President as well as responding to Presidential disabilities. It supersedes the ambiguous wording of Article II, Section 1, Clause 6 of the Constitution, which does not expressly state whether the Vice President becomes the President or Acting President if the President dies, resigns, is removed from office, or is otherwise unable to discharge the powers of the presidency. The Twenty-fifth Amendment was adopted on February 10, 1967.

Donald Trump may have early-onset dementia, says CNN commentator

President Trump is deteriorating before our very eyes

So I watched Pres. Trump on CNN live tell the crowd that CNN has turned off the live feed of his speech. I watched that on CNN.

It's time to get rid of it guys, he's not MAGA.

25th Amendment being cited? Again? How many more times will it be cited before they finally get rid?

It would be a pleasure to see him being escorted in a walk of shame out of the Oval Office, but I'll believe it when I see it, Stooo.

He is!! MAGA really means Make America Gross Again so the accy still holds true.
He wanted to take the US back to the golden KKK days of the 50's ...
The 1850's.
This guy deftly swapped his famous dogwhistle for a loudspeaker, he got bored with being coy.

And he has literally threatened to "shut down the govt" if he does not get his Mexico wall.
He regards the govt as his personal property, see. He feels he can shut it down anytime he likes.
'' ♪ ♫ IT'S MY PARTY COUNTRY ♪ ♫ AND I'LL CRY SHUT IT DOWN ♪ ♫ IF I WANT TO.' ♪ ♫''
- That's after he was caught secretly pleading with the Mexico President to pretend Mexico would be the one paying for the wall.

Speaking of which .....

Top US comedians are saying that lampooning and satirising this president takes no effort, no hyperbole, no adornment. Just lift the nearest newspaper (any regular mainstream paper) and read out all his latest exploits to the audience and you'll have them rolling in their seats with laughter all night long, they said.

But it's not really all that funny when one remembers that this girly man-child holds the nuclear code - and is given to fits of pique.

Trump Staffer Responsible For Finding Positive News Stories Resigns

President Donald Trump’s administration parted ways with yet another staffer this week.

Politico reported Thursday that Andy Hemming resigned from his position as the White House communications team’s director of rapid response on Monday.

The 31-year-old former Republican National Committee staffer, who was profiled by Politico’s Annie Karni this month, was responsible for finding positive mainstream media news stories about the Trump administration and recirculating those reports to key reporters and talking heads. Hemming’s goal was to ultimately create more mainstream coverage about positive moments for the Trump administration on the very networks the president routinely bashes and refers to as “fake news,” according to Karni’s piece.

Guys, CAL OFF THE SEARCH.
I mean ... once you find the best fillet steak you don't keep searching for scrag ends of meat.
Among the plethora of opinions out there, the most damning indictment of this troubled guy you will ever see, comes from two best selling biography authors Tony Schwartz and David Cay Johnston who each (separately) spent many months by his side, to analyse his character. They wrote, respectively, THE ART OF THE DEAL and THE MAKING OF DONALD TRUMP.

Even tho I could not normally sit thru anything longer than 5 minutes I sat riveted thru both these vids.

"I never saw any evidence that Trump had deep convictions or guiding core values, which helps to explain how he could shift position so effortlessly and unashamedly from one day to the next. Every belief of Trump struck me as negotiable for the right price or the right advantage."

"Donald literally does not know anything. He thinks that a tariff on mexican goods means that mexico pays for the wall. No, we pay. Because we'll have to pay 20% higher prices."

So, there ya go. :-|

Our government is in disarray. I can't even keep up with who has quit or been fired. In any case, things are working pretty well over here. It's almost like the best thing for most of us is a government that can't do anything. :)

Anyone notice the irony of Republicans saying no one can curtail any section of any of the American Amendments after they lambast NFL players for showing freedom of Expression? :gigglesnshit:

The first ammendment applies to government suppression of speech, not the workplace.
