De-Dollarization Spikes – Venezuela Stops Accepting Dollars for Oil Payments

Did the doomsday clock on the petrodollar (and implicitly US hegemony) just tick one more minute closer to midnight?
Apparently confirming what President Maduro had warned following the recent US sanctions, The Wall Street Journal reports that Venezuela has officially stopped accepting US Dollars as payment for its crude oil exports.

Lost count of the times I've said to Maddog the dollars days are over and that spells big trouble for the planet.
Prices in America could go tenfold .... for anything and everything.
America has lived way beyonds it's means by printing as many dollars as anyone was forced .... to need.
You can only fight so many wars.
The news will now ramp up the demonisation of president Maduro.
We'll probably discover he eats babies as well as attacks his disgruntled people with chemical weapons blah blah.

Half a dozen years ago I said on here that at some point it would make sense to the American leaders to ditch the middle east including Israel and invade the whole South American continent instead.
They would have more or less everything they need and would be able to leave alone and ignore the rest of the world.
That day is closer except for one thing.
Israel own America.
The senate the Federal reserve etc so they will have to finish the middle east job quickly now.
Just turn the lot to rubble including their current friends and leave Israel to be the super power there not threatened by totally chaotic broken nations and tribes who have nothing.
Trouble is they want the world.
The collapse of the petrodollar is very very serious.

Why The Petrodollar Is Facing Its End

By ZeroHedge - May 02, 2016, 7:00 PM CDT

Last year’s collapse in the oil price has forced financial reality upon the House of Saud. The young deputy crown prince, Mohammed bin Salman, possibly inspired by a McKinsey report, aims to diversify the state rapidly from oil dependency into a mixture of industries, healthcare and tourism. The McKinsey report looks like a wish-list, rather than reality, particularly when it comes to tourism. The religious police are unlikely to take kindly to bikinis on the Red Sea’s beeches, or to foreign women in mini-shorts wandering around Jeddah.

It is hard to imagine Saudi Arabia, culturally stuck in the middle ages, embracing the changes recommended by McKinsey, without fundamentally reforming the House of Saud, or even without a full-scale revolution.

The White House’s involvement certainly points towards a matter involving foreign affairs, rather than just interest rates. If the Saudis had decided to dump their Treasuries on the market, it would risk collapsing U.S. bond markets and the dollar. Through financial transmission, euro-denominated sovereign bonds and Japanese government bonds, all of which are wildly overpriced, would also enter into free-fall, setting off the global financial crisis that central banks have been trying to avoid.

While the Arab countries floated themselves on oceans of petro-dollars forty years ago, they have little need for them now. So we must now turn our attention to China, which is well positioned to act as white knight to Saudi Arabia. China’s SAFE sovereign wealth fund could easily swallow the Aramco stake, and there are good strategic reasons why it should. A quick deal would help stabilise a desperate financial and political situation on the edges of China’s rapidly growing Asian interests, and keep Saudi Arabia onside as an energy supplier. China has dollars to dispose, and a mutual arrangement would herald a new era of tangible cooperation. The U.S. can only stand and stare as China teases Saudi Arabia away from America’s sphere of influence.

In truth, trade matters much more than just talk, which is why>>>>>>>>>>>>>> full article here > http://oilprice.com/Energy/Energy-Gener ... s-End.html

America's Death Throes

Randy Martin, an American political analyst, said the long-anticipated decline in the petrodollar is picking up pace.

"The petrodollar is in decline, and consequently the entire financial system that undergirds the western economies," Martin said. "China and Russia have laid the global economic foundation for the new 'Silk Road' and the emergence of a new Eurasian economy that puts the US and its petrodollar on the outside. That leaves the US dollar and its economy in tatters as long as the US insists on trying to maintain its unipolar quest for global economic dominance. To be clear, what China and Russia have successfully done is to unravel the economic foundation of US global hegemony."

However, that historic demise of US power is fraught with danger. That's because the shift from an American-dominated unipolar world to a multipolar one will come at huge economic pain to the US. With a debt mountain of $20 trillion and skyrocketing inflation due to the eventual demise of the dollar, American society faces an implosion from poverty, unemployment and social breakdown.

"Consequently, the world is faced with a global superpower in mortal decline, which is now expressing its existential fears with wanton military aggression across the globe. This will result in a grave threat to humanity as the US grapples for its place in a new multipolar global economy," Martin concluded.

The US political system is fighting for its very survival given the imminent end of its petrodollar hegemony. It is no coincidence that the US ruling elite is resorting to militarism and war as a way to stave off the feared economic turmoil. The frequency of US-led wars across the Middle East region, in particular, is all about maintaining American hegemony through imposing military might.

Ive read this entire thread...and my one comment is STFU Jack.
As big of a mess as the usa is--Its less of a mess than most other countries except The Netherlands and Norway.

If the usa is in its death throes then the rest of the world is already dead and gone.
