As big of a mess as the usa is--Its less of a mess than most other countries except The Netherlands and Norway.

If the usa is in its death throes then the rest of the world is already dead and gone.

You are clearly an American Tom.
Americans as a rule don't have a clue what the petrodollar is .... was.
Up till the 60's America was the biggest oil exporter on the planet .... hard to imagine now.
It was also the biggest exporter of goods.
Then it became the an importer of oil and all Americas gold was used up.
The whole world had been promised that every dollar was backed by gold so there was a global panic when the nations realised their paper was backed by nothing.
Nixon took the dollar off the gold standard and created the petrodollar agreement with the Suads.
The dollar was now backed by oil.
Other peoples oil.
Simple explanation.
I suggest you type into Google demise of the petrodollar or death of or just petrodollar see what you ca find.
It's over Tom.
The Anglo America rule of the globe is done.
Here comes trouble on a scale we can't imagine because the world has never been here before.
The death of the petrodollar is the biggest news there can possibly be.

we have more oil and gas than anyone jack. Do your homework.

wrong even tiny Kuwait has more oil

as for combined Russia and Iran have over 6 times trhe USA's reserves

Do your homework fool :gigglesnshit:

you are a serious dufus---not only does the usa have the largest oil reserves we have by far the largest natural gas reserves. GO AWAY mr wikipedia
http://oilprice.com/Energy/Energy-Gener ... erves.html

from your link ffs

The U.S. holds more oil reserves than anyone else in the world, including Saudi Arabia, Russia, and Venezuela.

That conclusion comes from a new independent estimate from Rystad Energy, a Norwegian consultancy. Rystad estimates that the U.S. holds 264 billion barrels of oil, more than half of which is located in shale. That total exceeds the 256 billion barrels found in Russia, and the 212 billion barrels located in Saudi Arabia.

The findings are surprising, and go against conventional wisdom that Saudi Arabia and Venezuela hold the world’s largest oil reserves.

The U.S. Energy Information Administration, for example, pegs Venezuela’s oil reserves at 298 billion barrels, the largest in the world.

In fact the largely ignorant American population are the people who are in for the biggest shocks.
They think everything is going to be okay we'll find a way to pay the twenty trillion dollars we owe the rest of the world and ... they have no understanding whatsoever what the petrodollar is and how grave the death of it will be.
They even believe they have had the good life through the markets ... through capitalism when in reality it's all been on the never never!
Venezuela supply around 10% of American oil but they just stopped that unless America can pay in anything but the dollar!

I know few people have attention spans any longer especially the likes of Tom but .... if you want to know what the fuss is about this half hour read has to be the best explanation available anywhere.
The petrodollar isn't the kind of subject that gets talked about much in homes or bars.
Few understand what it is what it does and why it's collapse is quite frightening.
I doubt the main stream media mention it much if ever but it's what keeps America top dog on the planet for doing nothing more than running a printing press and then killing and destroying people and places that won't play ball.
It's worth a read if you wish to have a reasonable understanding of what it's all about.
Better than any novel ... put your feet up.

So… What Would Happen If The Petrodollar System Ended Tomorrow

Allow me to briefly explain the impact that a sudden loss of the petrodollar system would have upon the United States of America.

Foreign nations would begin sending a flood of U.S. dollars back to the United States in exchange for the new currency needed for oil.
The Federal Reserve would lose their ability to print more dollars to solve America’s economic problems.
The Treasury Secretary and the Federal Reserve Chairman would meet to determine the best course of action.
That action would involve an immediate and dramatic increase in interest rates to reduce America’s money supply.
Hyperinflation would ensue temporarily while the interest rates took time to take full effect.
All oil-related prices, including gas prices, would reach outrageous levels.
Washington would soon realize that the total amount of money in the system would have to be dramatically slashed even further, leading to an even higher increase in interest rates.
The clueless American public would demand answers. Those on the left would blame the right. The right would blame the left. And both political parties would seek to blame the Federal Reserve.
People with adjustable rate debts would be crushed and massive layoffs would occur as businesses suffered from the high interest rates.
Asset prices across the board would plummet in value.
Amid the financial carnage, an economic recovery eventually would begin to take place. But this new American economy would be tremendously smaller due to a drastically reduced money supply.

They would have more or less everything they need and would be able to leave alone and ignore the rest of the world.
That day is closer except for one thing.
Israel own America.
The senate the Federal reserve etc so they will have to finish the middle east job quickly now.
Just turn the lot to rubble including their current friends and leave Israel to be the super power there not threatened by totally chaotic broken nations and tribes who have nothing.
Trouble is they want the world.
The collapse of the petrodollar is very very serious.

Did you expect an incremental decline?

Okay I'll now say it started slowly it's been building up and it will now happen almost overnight.
Meaning very fast indeed.
The game is up.
I think Tom went and Googled some stuff and may possibly of had a heart attack when he discovered that the value of all assets in America will plummet overnight including his property.
Goodnight sleep well while you can.

Properties are worth nothing, until you try to sell them.

Sucking the perceived asset equity out in the form of loans is the stupidest financial thing people have done in the last 30 years.

Buy a house, live in the house. Trade up or down modestly as and when you need to move. It isn't a free-access bank account.
