At least two people have been killed and twenty-four others have been injured in the shooting.

Police have said the suspect "Was Down"

There's reports of at least one other incident in the Las Vegas strip.

It's grim news. Too many mentally disturbed people with guns in America.

It seems Islamic State called for a lone wolf attack on the Vegas Strip in May.

The gunman was firing at the crowd from the window of a hotel.

He was shot dead by police.

They are looking for his female 'companion'. Seems he was local, and from the sound of the attack he had a machine gun.

20 dead and hundreds injured - what a dreadfully sad state of affairs.

Kids in the audience, too. Horrendous.

I've been watching a couple of off-duty first responders being interviewed who were at the festival, and who immediately sprang into action trying to assist.

Calm, unflappable, unsung heroes, Vic, and absolutely the kind of folks you'd be blessed to have around you after an attack like that.

Not that it matters but, at first glance, I'd guess she may be of Filipino origin?

Yes, stated as being Asian, and it's a common name in the Phillipines according to Mrs Canny...
