Car mounts pavement near the Natural History Museum.

The reports suggest a 'serious incident' with a number of casualties and a man has been arrested.

I might be proved wrong as the facts become known but I will take a guess that this is yet another brutal jihadist terrorist atrocity. :shake head:

Way too much police presence for this to be an RTA. Time will tell, but I think you could be right.

The image of a guy being restrained and held down by police/security guards, also spoke volumes

I hope there are no fatalities, or serious injuries.

Just heard an eye witness describe the speed of the vehicle as 20mph and in a Prius, a pedestrian friendly hybrid. Living in a largely retired community, tales of wrecked houses and walls caused by stuck down throttles are common.

The police are keeping an open mind about the incident so far...

Here's hoping it was just a nasty accident, and that no-one is seriously hurt.

I hope he loses his license. Lucky he didn't have passengers at the time.

It's about time we called for all cars to be banned. They are deadly in the wrong hands. There must be thousands of un-insured and unlicensed cars on the streets.
The British public have no need for cars, why in this day and age of public transport does anyone need a car?
Some houses have two or three cars in their drive ways!
Only the police should be equipped with motor vehicles.

Metropolitan Police

metpoliceuk

The incident in #ExhibitionRoad #SouthKensington earlier is not being treated as a terror-related incident. It is a road traffic collision.

Oh, the gun thing.

Vehicles are designed to move people and stuff around, they're really shit weapons.

Guns are designed to kill people, they are weapons.

How astonishingly effective is ISIS's campaign that a car mounting a pavement sends a nation into panic? It's almost as though the authorities and the media are complicit in creating this atmosphere of terror. But that cant be, can it?

Tell that to all the families of the people in France mown down by the truck, The people in London on Westminster bridge, Car bombs etc.
A gun just like a car is a tool used by people. It's people who kill people always has been always will be.
A nuclear bomb hasn't killed anyone since first detonated, They have been left idle ever since and won't kill again until a Person decides to use one.
What about knives, there's a lot of knife crime in the UK. Most people have carving knives and would never dream of using it to kill someone. But should we take away their knives just incase they do?

Mate, cars and other vehicles are used for their intended purpose pretty much 100% of the time.

Guns are made to kill people, do you want the same percentage?

What a dumb thing to say, even for you.

In case you missed it, cars driven by muslim terrorists have recently mounted the pavement in Nice, Berlin, Westminster and Barcelona, to name but four, and killed and maimed hundreds of people.

Any such incident outside a place of interest is bound to raise concerns of another terror attack. Even if it's not the case, as this seems to be an accident, people will think it at first. You putting it down to the 'authorities and the media creating this atmosphere of terror' shows what a vile cunt of a troll you are.
