The fallout from the two bombs in Japan is still killing people to this day - cancer and birth defects.
Plus there is the effects from all the tests that have been carried out over the years (America did more than a 1,000) and all the 'accidents' involving them- America admits to 32 broken arrows but
a 1970 study by one of America's nuclear weapon laboratories, obtained through the Freedom of Information Act, stated that at least 1,200 weapons were involved in accidents between 1950 and 1968.
