As expected, you're unable to explain how 'media owners' make a profit out of a RTA outside the NHM, or what 'authorities' are involved, and how they've 'exploited' the incident.

Like I said, troll or fucking idiot. My money's on both.

Erm, they sell their products by hyping the news and assisting their pals in power to influence the agenda in return for favours - didn't you know that? :dunno:

It would function better if those things were complimented by a top-notch rail service.

It would - and suprise, surprise, there is such a service in west Cumbria. Trouble is it appears you can only have good rail links if you accept the world's largest nuclear reprocessing plant.

Wales does tend to get shit on like that :shake head:

Cumbria not Cymru - but same difference I suppose.

You're talking in riddles.

How was this news 'hyped'? How did 'their pals in power' play any part? What 'agenda' was set? What 'favours 'were returned?

Not riddles, just your (faux?) ignorance. But have it your way, the media plays it straight as a die.

Oh wait, here's that Murdoch fella again:

Wales especially North and mid are considered by many to be the most beautiful places in the world.
Lonely planet has North Wales on its list of places to visit before you die .... take a look at this.

Tourists come here 365 days of the year because every season is spectacular.
Not had a decent winter for a few years now and really hoping this winter brings the snow and ice back.
The tourists and campers love it but .... they have to have cars and vans.
Forestry is big business here so you'll see large logging trucks moving trees to the saw mills.
Trains won't be doing that anytime soon.
Trains along the coast move some of the quarry stuff and ships take it away but the quarries need cars vans trucks and tractors.
There is no way out of it.

The nearest rail station is 8 miles away.

The bus comes by once a day. Tuesday, to be precise.

And I am only 70 miles or so from London.

City dwellers have no idea. Cars aren't a luxury here - they are a lifeline.

The British public have no need for cars, why in this day and age of public transport does anyone need a car?
Some houses have two or three cars in their drive ways!
Only the police should be equipped with motor vehicles.

Oh, the gun thing.

Vehicles are designed to move people and stuff around, they're really shit weapons.

Guns are designed to kill people, they are weapons.

Tell that to all the families of the people in France mown down by the truck, The people in London on Westminster bridge, Car bombs etc.
A gun just like a car is a tool used by people. It's people who kill people always has been always will be.
A nuclear bomb hasn't killed anyone since first detonated, They have been left idle ever since and won't kill again until a Person decides to use one.
What about knives, there's a lot of knife crime in the UK. Most people have carving knives and would never dream of using it to kill someone. But should we take away their knives just incase they do?

Some Gun-lover said at the time of the Dunblane Massacre, knives should be banned because they kill people.

One of the teachers who survived the atrocity said, if Hamilton had come bursting into the gym waving a knife, she and the other two adults present could have stopped him.

However as we know he had a gun and a few minutes later, seventeen people (Sixteen of them children) were dead and with the exception of one wee boy, everyone else had been injured.

And what is that supposed to tell us. Yes things can be used for a different purpose but that doesn't change their purpose.

A spoon can sometimes be used in place of a fork but a spoon is not a fork, torn clothing can be used as a makeshift bandage but clothing is not a bandage or - one you can relate to When you lube up a broom handle and shove it up your arse it doesn't make the broom handle a dildo, you're just using it as one.

Guns are intended to kill, that is their purpose.

Everyone knew from the first ten minutes that it was an Uber driver doing an illegal U-ee. Bloke even had a cricifix hanging from his rear view mirror. Funnily enough the Heil was the only LOL "source" that initally called it the National History Museum. This was handy because you see all the Far Right cretins on twitter going ballistic about an attack outside a museum that doesn't exist. They sure didn't appreciate being corrected. :gigglesnshit:

And there are already a number of schemes introduced to encourage people to use their cars less and even restrict cars from public areas altogether (pedestrianisation).

I am all in favour of banning cars from urban areas - car pollution is a killer

So how do I get this massive 30 kg parcel to your doorstep?

Vans would be ok, just get the cars off the roads. :header:
