ANOTHER TYPICAL TORY BUDGET ?

Postby Cannydc » Wed Nov 22, 2017 7:38 am

Will the little man get hammered again, with diesel price rises ?

Will he blame Brexit ?

Will the self-employed get taxed properly, at last ?

Will he take on Labour policy by simplifying tax on corporations to ensure they pay their fair share ?

Will the public sector be expected to continue to pay for the banker's excesses by keeping the 1% pay cap ?

Who will the big winners be ?

Will there be another 'smoke and mirrors' announcement on house building ? Here's how the last one has gone...

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/po ... 66571.html

Frankly, I'm not hopeful.

Building three quarters of a million houses because he recognises that more and more young people cannot get on the housing ladder.
Will that be council housing then .... a socialist policy to try and get some decent housing and well paid jobs?

Well over a million food parcels this year, often to people working but on poverty wages tells a different story.

A government encouraging companies giving out zero hours contracts and expecting the taxpayer to top up with benefits tells a different story.

Reducing unemployment by sanctioning the sick tells a different story.

Borrowing more in the last few years than all Labour governments put together, ever, tells a different story.

Whilst DOUBLING the national debt to nearly £2 trillion....

Guess I might not be the only 'moaning minnie', based on that sort of legacy.

Never, ever trust a Tory.

lol you give your ignorance away with your 'doubling national debt'. Either you do not understand deficit reduction or you attempt sleight of hand, and are not concerned about borrowing as you plan to spunk money away to nationalise industries etc...

Or do labour plan to reduce borrowing and continue deficit reduction? Do they plan to ratchet up austerity?

I doubt you will answer that!

Ignorance about National debt is obviously your territory.

The annual deficit which the Tories are piling onto our national debt is around £60bn per annum.

That debt pile stands at around £1.7 Trillion. It has more than doubled since the Tories gained power.

Labour recognises that paying people less, means more benefit bills. Not investing in infrastructure means long term decline. And Tories support both.

And if you think that privatisation of rail, water, power, BT, BA, British Gas etc was a success, you really are hiding from the truth.

Heh, you have no idea.

Chinese and Russian 'landlords' touring brand new estates and buying up entire streets to rent out before the groundworks are finished.

If wishing our utilities to be owned by us makes me a 'partisan idiot', sign me up. Why you could possibly want them in foreign ownership baffles me.
