Thanks for constantly confirming for us how easy it is for the American powers to drag the people along to do their bidding whilst convincing them they made their own minds up.

"A Strange Coincidence": US Spy Plane Circled Near Russian Base During Massive Drone Attack

On Tuesday, we reported that the Russian military in Syria thwarted a massive drone attack at the Khmeimim air base and Russian Naval point in the city of Tartus on January 6, intercepting 13 heavily armed UAVs launched by terrorists.

#SYRIA: Security system of the Russian #Khmeimim air base and #Russian Naval CSS point in the city of #Tartus successfully warded off a terrorist attack with massive application of #UAVs through the night of 5th – 6th January, 2018 https://t.co/nHiUrEWonL pic.twitter.com/3EgrFhYeHh

Shortly after, the Russian Ministry of Defense released new information, noting "strange coincidences" surrounding the terrorist attack: these included a US spy plane spotted in the area, namely a US Navy’s Boeing P-8 Poseidon reconnaissance aircraft on patrol between the Khmeimim airbase and Tartus naval base in Syria during the time of the attack.

Russian Military Reveals Details About UAV Attack On Its Bases In Syria (Photos)

The analysis of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) involved in the January 6 attack on Russia’s bases in Syria has shown that they cannot be made in an improvised manner, Head of the Russian General Staff’s department for the development of unmanned aerial vehicles Maj. Gen. Alexander Novikov said on September 11, according to the Russian state-run media.

“The creation of drones of this class is impossible in an improvised manner. Their development and usage involved specialists, who had undergone special training in the countries manufacturing and using systems with unmanned aerial vehicles,” Novikov said adding that assembly and usage of UAVs is an engineering task that demands “special training, know-how in various scientific areas and practical experience in creating these devices.”

The UAVs also cannot be used without special software and such attack requires the info about exact target location of the targets and such parameters as altitude, flight and wind speed. This information cannot be obtained from open sources according to Novikov.

The explosives from the munitions carried by the UAVs involved in the attack on Hmeymim and Tartus bases cannot be made in makeshift conditions.

Putin slams drone attack on Russian base in Syria as provocation

"There were some provocateurs, but they were not Turks. We know who they are, who paid who for this provocation and what the actual sum was. As for this kind of incidents, there is nothing good about them. These are provocations aimed at destroying previous agreements," Putin said.

"As for these attacks, they were undoubtedly prepared well. We know when and where these unmanned vehicles were handed over [to the attackers], and how many of them there were. These aerial vehicles were disguised - I would like to stress that - as homemade. But it is obvious that some high-tech equipment was used," Putin said.

Tillerson: US To Keep Military Presence In Syria To Remove Assad From Power

The US will keep an indefinite military presence in Syria in order to remove President Bashar al-Assad from power, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson revealed in a speech at Stanford University on January 17.

“Assad’s regime is corrupt, and his methods of governance and economic development have increasingly excluded certain ethnic and religious groups,” the official said. “Such oppression cannot persist forever.”

“A total withdrawal of American personnel at this time would restore Assad and continue his brutal treatment of his own people,” he continued.

Tillerson added that “free and transparent elections … will result in the permanent departure of Assad and his family from power.”

Currently, the US has at least 2,000 troops deployed in Syria according to official reports.

They really want a war, don't they. They have no mandate to even be in Syria let alone planning to stay and oust it's president.

US Helicopters Attack Convoy Of Iraqi Security Forces. At Least 8 Killed, Over 20 Injured

On January 27, a unit of Iraqi security forces was attacked by US-led coalition helicopters, according to the Iraqi Army Military Media Cell.

The source said that the unit was attacked by the US-led coalition when it was on its way back to its base after finishing its mission – to capture a commander of ISIS “Karim Afat Ali al-Samarad” in the town of al-Baghdadi in the western al-Anbar province,

Since 2014, the US-led coalition has been accused of attacking the Iraqi Army and the Iraqi Popular Mobilization Units (PMU) during their battles against ISIS on several occasions. However, the US-led coalition never took any real measure to investigate the reasons behind such mistakes.

The US didn't want Karim Afat Ali al-Samarad talking then. Or maybe the attack was the diversion for a US snatch squad to remove said isis commander from the clutches of Iraqi forces. Either way it's yet another US interference on the side of isis.

Second Test Of Costly US Missile-Defense System Fails

So much for being "97%" accurate...

Google.com/2018-01- ... stem-fails

Yet they are pushing for a big war all over the place. :thud:

In other news, US says it's staying in Syria, Turkey says it's not going to give up Afrin and the Syria talks in Sochi have resulted in a 12 point plan for the future.

Syria’s territorial integrity

The participants of the congress have expressed their respect and full commitment for the “sovereignty, independence, territorial integrity and unity” of Syria in the first point of the 12-point document.

“In this regard no part of the national territory shall be ceded. The people of Syria remain committed to the recovery of the occupied Syrian Golan by all lawful means in accordance with the UN Charter and international law,” the document reads.

The second point stresses “respect of and full commitment to Syria’s national sovereign equality and rights regarding non-intervention.”

“Syria shall take its full role in the international community and the region, including as part of the Arab world, in conformity with the UN Charter, and its purposes and principles,” it says.

The future of Syria

In line with the third provision of the final statement, only the people of Syria can decide on their country’s future.

“The Syrian people alone shall determine the future of their country by democratic means, through the ballot box, and shall have the exclusive right to choose their own political, economic and social system without external pressure or interference, in line with Syria’s international rights and obligations,” the third point reads.

Better keep testing those missiles then...

MIlitants Shoot Down Russian Su-25 Warplane With MANPAD In Idlib Province

On February 3, the US-backed Free Syrian Army (FSA) group, Jaysh al-Nasir, announced that its fighters had shot down a Su-25 warplane of the Russian Aerospace Forces over the village of Khan al-Sabil southwest of the city of Saraqib in the southeastern Idlib countryside.

UPDATE: The Russian Defense Ministry confirmed the the warplane had been downed by militants. According to the ministry, the militants probably used a MANPAD.

UPDATE 2: Hayat Tahrir al-Sham officially confirmed that it had downed the warplane with a MANPAD.

US arming 'moderate terrorists' is going to cause a bigger conflict, but then that was the plan all along. :shake head:

Mattis Threatens Military Action Over Syria Gas Attack Claims, Then Admits "No Evidence"

"I don’t have the evidence,” Mattis said. “What I am saying is that other groups on the ground - NGOs, fighters on the ground - have said that sarin has been used, so we are looking for evidence.”

Google.com/2018-02- ... -admits-no

Here we go again. Just when their pet terrorists are facing a pasting in Idlib, suddenly the gas attacks are wheeled out. Expect channel 4 news and BBC to start featuring 'rescues' of children from rubble 'saved' by the terrorists white helmets.

Same Mo for Aleppo and Ghouta. Every time the US terrorist strongholds are threatened, the west mobilizes to save the terrorists arses. :shake head:
