The schools around here were closed for a few days because the teachers live far away from the schools and couldn't guarantee getting in or getting home.
Good job they made that decision because many places here were cut off.
Last time the weather was like this a mini bus full of special needs kids was driving them all home and within twenty minutes of the snow starting they were snowbound.
They became trapped for seven hours in that bus with no food or water.
The school didn't open for a few days after that.
