70% of the recipients are from the general public. We just don’t hear about those...

Not really newsworthy, to be fair.

Lots of servicemen and servicewomen, and those who work with them get them too... 163 here... sadly, not me (again lol)

None of the Emergency Personnel, civilian Helpers etc at Grenfell Tower Incident received a mention in the Honours this year
Maybe early days.

The emergency services were doing their job which they contracted to perform.

Soldiers are not paid mega bucks, our emergency services are.

Soldiers endure physical hardship in training and conflict, emergency services hardly raise a sweat unless a rare major disaster occurs, e.g. Grenfell.

Got it ya turdy ponthook. my name is Major.

Maybe I will will call you' bitchhook' in furure.

109 members of the military were bestowed with honours this year, the majority being " Desk Jockeys" of very high ranks and Pay Scale !!!

At least the Emergency Personnel at Grenfell Towers put their lives on the line which they are not contracted to do !!!!

There are numerous stories of Firefighters at Grenfell Towers removing their face masks to give those succumbed to smoke and fumes much needed air ( contrary to regulations) plus carrying on searching when the contents of the air cylinders were below permitted levels ( all against regulations,) those firefighters went beyond their required duties and should be recognised as such

Even the Chief Officer of London Fire and Rescue Service Dany Cotton now admits she suffers from PTSD following Grenfell Towers Incident
