If this is per single visit it may help, if not the fee should increase as operations cost £thousands..

That should help to stop the flow of Highly paid and generous Tax Paying Non EU migrants from coming to this Country

They already need to prove they earn more than £35.000 before tax to get a visa

EU Migrants are those that can travel freely between EU Countries they are the ones that pick rotting fruit from our trees and the rotting vegetables in our fields, because our own cant be bothered with that sort of job , since the referendum their numbers have significantly dropped, a problem our Farmers are getting Worried about .

Non EU Migrants are those from Countries that have to apply for a visa for entry and work in this Country, those people are the high earners and high tax payers into this Country, Doctors/Surgeons/Nurses/Midwives/Scientists/ Banking and Business Professionals, when they apply for a visa they have to prove they will be earning in excess of £35.000 per year ,
these people besides the EU Migrants are needed in this Country for its economy.

If you are referring to the young, fit migrants who come here to work - and rarely if ever use the NHS - they actually pay for the odd occasions they may fall ill via 2 methods. One being through paying the same taxes we all pay (Income Tax, NI, VAT) and they also ALL pay a flat £200 levy on their visas to come here specifically to pay for the odd medical treatment. Even then, charges for patients from countries in the European Economic Area are claimed back by the NHS from their country of residence.

If you are referring to other overseas visitors, services provided in or linked to a hospital in England t so-called 'Health Tourists' are required to charge for overseas visitors. If they don't, it is down to the inefficiency of the hospital. Not the visitor.

Of course, there are others deliberately defrauding the system - expats being a prime example. And we all know how that works. There is NO ENTITLEMENT for NHS treatment for those living outside the UK for more than 6 months in any year.

So - half the world ? Not even close.

All in all, around £2bn is spent on treatment for 'visitors' (includes students, expats, holidaymakers) of which about half is recovered. Leaving the cost to the NHS of £1bn a year. Or less than 1% of the NHS budget of £126bn p.a. So, very much like the furore over benefit fraud which amounts to a similar percentage of budget, the argument that we spend vast sums on 'visitors health problems' is vastly over-egged.

I pay £30 month for my cats to be insured privately against illness, if i miss a payment then they aren't covered, so not treated.
