Absolutely agree with the ban on hijabs for under 8s.

There is no excuse for them at that age, be it modesty or religion.

Adults can feel free to wear what they want, girls up to 16 or 18 can be directed by their parents.

Total bans on bits of clothing simply bring us down to Taleban level. We have pretty good freedoms as to what we wear - let's keep them.

Nah, we need crazy right wing parties to show the country just how bad the likes of Farage in power would be.

Sorry to miss that out.
.
I agree completely. Muslim children are not required to fast for Ramadan until they reach the age of maturity (puberty).

This sort of thing is more a cultural male domination issue than a religious one. The blame is laid at religions door but like so much abuse and criminality, it merely hides behind religion.

Wearing a scarf doesn't result in male domination...It is a requirement of Muslims by Islam as a religion...Infact all Abrahamic religions mention covering hair for its followers.

I wouldn’t ban the hijab for adults(some are quite colourful and elaborate) but would WITHOUT HESITATION ban the burkha and niqab - they are either forced upon the wearer or worn as a sign of sympathy with ISIS and similar groups - one look at the Sharia 4 France protest will tell you that, or alternatively just google ‘niqab protest’ and look at the charming jihadette wannabes for yourself. One protest even had signs about Sharia 4 Angola - that’s right, these jihadette scum want to take over African countries as well. Racist slags.

Adults can choose to wear what they please - children cannot.

Ahh, Puzz set me right (you don't hear that often!) "the burkha and niqab"

I was thinking of those, not the head scarf. Even then I think it's outdated nonsense, as is any religion. Many followers don't wear one so it's not essential.

Why indoctrinate kids with any sort of religion? :brickwall:

Look at the 5th column you allow to thrive, you just know half of these went to Syria and half stayed home to help fund the jihad - Image

Real nice people eh? Scroll down a bit and just look at the pure evil on display. ‘Khalifah 4 Angola’? Nasty little dogs wanting to enslave a Christian African country under their sick Sharia law.

Ideally that should outlawed in a modern secular society - but its enforcement would of course be unacceptably Orwellian. Education is the only way forward.

You are entitled to your nonsensical opinion about religion being outdated nonsense.

What percentage of religious people conform to the doctrine has no bearing on religious texts at all.Covering hair is part of all Abrahamic religions.

As for indoctrination and kids,,,it is an essential part of upbringing...Usually headscarf comes in very later at say, around puberty time for devout Muslims. At 7-8 year olds they are learning how to write and speak written Arabic (Quran and Namaz etc )

A language picked up in childhood is far easier than learning it as an adult.

What came before ? Chicken or the Egg? Fuck knows...

The Niqab came in way before ISIS and Sharia 4 France protests though.... :off head:
