Studies have shown that menopause symptoms can have a significant impact on attendance and performance in the workplace, with some women being misdiagnosed as suffering from mental ill-health or other conditions, and the impact on their work can be wrongly identified as a performance issue. A study commissioned by the British Association of Women in Policing found that some women police officers reported that the tiredness and insomnia they associated with menopausal transition affected their capacity to function normally at work

Seems like a good move. Easy to implement and the potential for better retention rates.

My commiserations.

If you read as much of The Guardian as I do one would know that workplace air conditioning is a high ranking feminist issue!

Air conditioning ranks highly with me too - more evidence of my sisterhood if any was needed. :snooty:

Is crying a menopause symptom? I mean is there more crying than normal?
Or is that specific for menopausal policewomen because of the nature of the job.
Where I worked the menopausal women would have scoffed at a 'crying room'.

Nature never intended women to reach the menopause, by rights they should be pushing up daisies instead of asking for crying rooms and air conditioning. Some women don't realise just how lucky they are. :shake head:

Living conditions and medical science does, nothing to do with nature.

It has everything to do with nature.
Ug man dragged his woman from a cold wet cave and put her in the new wood built house he'd constructed for them and her life expectancy went up.
Mister Ug started farming and storing food her life expectancy went up.
Are you saying mister Ug isn't nature ... isn't part of nature?
This is most of the trouble with damaging or saving the environment .... people think the environment isn't us but something over there .... outside .... something seoperate like we aren't the environment.
We are nature at it's finest and most dangerous.
If you think we're not nature not part of the environment then what are we?

When we had fresh air and pristine crystal clear water we lived to around forty or fifty.
Now everything's full of shit we live almost twice that!
