Ex-football coach Barry Bennell has been found guilty of multiple sexual offences against boys from the youth systems of Manchester City and Crewe Alexandra. The jury heard he had used his position in the sport to disguise the fact that he was a “child molester on an industrial scale”.

The court was told he would not only groom the players but win over their parents and kept bunk beds to accommodate up to 12 boys at the house he had turned into a “children’s paradise”, featuring games machines, a jukebox and his own menagerie, including a spider monkey and a wild cat. Bennell would share his bed three at a time with his victims and put on music to mask the abuse. He raped and abused boys between ages of eight and 15.

A pity it's taken this long for justice to catch up with him but i hope sentencing will see the evil bastard spend the remainder of his life behind bars.

Just seen the above as i was about to post the same!

So Bennell will likely die in prison as he's 64 now. Passing sentence the judge described him as “sheer evil” and the “devil incarnate”. Bennell, now facing complaints from another 86 former players, stared at the floor as the judge, Clement Goldstone QC, gave him prison sentences totalling 454 years, to run concurrently. The one bit i'm not happy with is he will be eligible for parole after 15 years though i doubt it would be granted.
