This is the moment EDL founder Tommy Robinson got into a brawl outside a McDonald's with masked men.

Robinson, real name Stephen Yaxley-Lennon, says he was in London to film people going to a 'left-wing conference'.

The film shows a group of around seven men wearing balaclavas or covering their faces walking towards Robinson, 35, at a retail park in north London.

I know for a fact that in the 80s the media would ask the cops and strikers to tussle with each other on the picket lines so they could get some action shots - if you refused you didn't get on the telly and the chance to publicise the dispute.

For a so called "brawl" the entire thing looked carefully staged, even to him going down on the ground where one youth meekly taps him with his foot. Robinson walks away without a scratch, fired up with that much excitement he talks like he's popped a few too many pills - probably had been on something.

No doubt they all met up later at a pub.
