Oh really.

Actually a rather rabid, right-wing, anti-EU president of Poland claims.

And why ? Because he is under political pressure and likely humiliation when forced by the EU to take their fair share (and no more) of refugees, and to fulfill their already agreed commitments

The country is backsliding on its commitment to democracy. The Commission last month took the unprecedented move of triggering the Article 7 procedure, which could eventually lead to the suspension of Poland’s EU voting rights — a move Mr Tusk called a “sad day.”

Almost everything that the ruling party in Poland proposes in key political issues matches the publicly formulated and described interests and expectations of Moscow, including their attitudes toward liberal democracy, the independence of courts and sexual minorities as examples.

I spend a lot of time in Poland and can safely say that's utter bollocks. Not to say there's no Polish nationalist neo-Nazi nutjobs as there are among the young misguided whose minds are so warped they chant 'Sieg Heil' giving Nazi salutes as they strut along. They forgot a lunatic with visions of a 1000 year Reich invaded their country 78 years ago chanting the same battle cry to the same salute. Educated Polish haven't forgotten that part of history. Not all immerse their heads in xenophobic clap trap.
