OBR. Cutting migration good for econmy

OBR. Cutting migration good for econmy

OBR come to the logical conclusion that cutting migration could be good for economic growth. Industry is disinsentivised to innovate and invest in modernisation as it can constantly draw cheap labour from EU. Why buy a £150k combine when you can hire inmigrant labour on non contract piecework for a Pittance.

UK industry/sectors have become fat on this labour to the detriment of productivity and our own workers.

As they will be forced to invest and innovate by resticted immigration other supporting sectors will emerge and grow. Productivity will improve.

Try reading the opening line of your link again - just for you, here it is...

Cutting migration could boost economic growth, official forecaster says.

Yes, and I could win the lottery on Saturday - but I won't order the Ferrari just yet.

Yes it does say that. Then a bit of logic and analysis which seems robust to me.

So tell me. What is your immigration policy. You are an open borders type of guy- which is what labour want yes?

I am for controlled immigration. Keep criminals and undesirables out. Allow in the workers we need and take our FAIR SHARE of genuine refugees. Exactly the same as Labour, I guess.

Don't you find it sad and inexplicable that we had the laws in place since Labour were in power to control our borders, but Dave and Treeza refused to implement them ?

Indeed, when Home Secretary, Treeza cut border control funding so much that millions came in without even a passport check.

How anyone could support such inefficient, indolent people is beyond me. I trust you agree. And the logic and analysis would seems robust to you, if you support the premise. I don't.

As a matter of further interest, I have never been "an open borders type of guy" - but it IS my sincere belief that there will be no borders eventually. Schengen is a step in that direction, and the trend will inevitably continue. The tide cannot be stopped.

yes and eventually we are all going to have hoverboards and flying cars etc, but some real-politik for you... borders are going BACK UP around europe and the world at the moment. We took them down, extreme islamists took the piss out of everyone, so they are going back up.

Labour are using mealy language such as you espouse above to allow the unchecked immigration to continue. Show me one speech/policy from labour about reducing immigration and controlling immigration to give us the breathing space to sort out our inner city and town communities out? One piece please.

You wont find any. The electorate sees labour for what it is. A party obsessed with ideology (the champagne socialist virtue signalling ideology). You are rightfully being abandoned by the very people whom the movement was created for.

you have betrayed them on brexit and immigration. We know you are utterly flawed when running an economy.

Change is put on the back burner son.

:pmsl: :pmsl: :pmsl:

I'm not your son.

And having answered YOUR questions openly and honestly, perhaps you could reciprocate.

Don't you find it sad and inexplicable that we had the laws in place since Labour were in power to control our borders, but Dave and Treeza refused to implement them ?

Why was that ?

How could anyone in their right mind support these people ?

Oh, and Schengen has NOT been reduced in any shape or form - in fact, there is far more likelihood that it will be extended. See link below. That is realpolitik, in a real world. Not the 'drawbridge up, repel the filthy foreigner' crap that we get from the likes of Starbold and the rabid right.

Have you ever wondered why May and Rudd refuse to opt out of Freedom of Movement rules?
Just asking.

Don't bother asking.

Ask a straight question, get a blustering, diversionary version of whataboutery bollox. Just like Treeza at PMQs.
